I actually have a flyer for this documentary from a friend of mine who’s a poet at a local college, I instantly had to look this up and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. For a lack of better terms and my excitement to keep watching the other parts, this shit is SICK!
I still believe Halo 2 is the greatest multiplayer game ever made. The risks and innovation the development team took to create this amazing multiplayer experience was an amazing feat. This video brings back a lot of nostalgia for Halo 2. Thank you for that. I really enjoyed the video.
Dude almost single-handedly conceived the modern formula of online gaming, perfected it, going out with a bang, and yet the industry nowadays does so little compared to the state of the art multiplayer and matchmaking Halo 2-3 had. Matches in the middle of the 2000s felt way more exciting and the communities were so much more alive than now, when games are selling twice or three times as fast and more than back when Halo 2 was the biggest and fastest selling game ever.
Really like the background effects you did. Makes me super nostalgic, I used to love scrolling through the Halo 2 main menu and listening to the music when I was a kid.
I'm surprised there were no mentions of Marathon during the origins section, or how Halo was originally shown at Macworld before being made a project for the Xbox's launch.

Max was a genius. Bungie letting him leave was a huge mistake.
Just saw a flyer of this at my college campus, this is peak!!!!!
I saw it too!!! ❤❤❤
@15:47 "Not Really a Developer" goes on to make, one of, if not the greatest Multiplayer Experience in gaming history.

Thanks dude and I feel you! The menu and the music (Heavy Price Paid) pretty memorable vibe. Captured the backgrounds from the original Halo 2!
