I agree 100%. The percentage herdbook should not be Fullblood lite. It should be about experiments and innovation to improve the breed and industry overall. I also therefore believe we should have a breed-up option so the very best of those innovations can improve the entire breed, not just the percentage herd.
I love some hybrids! I have Boer and Kiko and cross some to make Genemasters. Great meat goats! I have to say the AKGA is much nicer to deal with compared to the ABGA. PLUS we can register the Genemasters.
Nice to see you again Jason! can you explain why some of the show goats appear to have no chest? They seem to have bred that right out of them. How can a goat with poor lung capacity be productive?
