Troy Hyatt boligportal.dk is used for private rent as well as lejebolig.dk. The best thing is to buy an apartment, which is not cheap, but not too expensive if you compare to other big cities such as London.

@@danielfl.9347 but still, the quality of life/standards of living in cities like Copenhagen, or Amsterdam are significantly higher than what (much larger) cities like London, Madrid, or Milan have to offer.

    Same for every larger city.
    Best advice:
    * Find a place out of the central town in one of the suburbs like Høje Taastrup, Hvidovre, Ishøj, etc.. It is easier, relatively affordable, stable and its easy to get to central town quickly, much easier than most cities.
    * Find other people in the same situation as yourself, preferrably old friends perhaps. Then pool together and buy or rent. You could actually buy a whole house in the suburbs to share for four people for the same price as a small apartment in the historic center.
    * Otherwise, Nevedita gives the most useful advice of them all.

Absolutely, whether they are comparable cities (in size) to Copenhagen (like Amsterdam, or Dublin), or they are smaller (like Utrecht, Geneva, or Basel), or they are much larger (like New York, or Los Angeles), most people are going to find it very challenging in finding housing that's, both, at a decent enough standard, and conveniently located, priced, etc.

🤔🤔🤔 Go in June, camping out and or couch surfing, maybe using a Van (if u got one) meeting lots of people...🤔🤔 Eventualy getting an adress from a generous couch surfing Dane, paying said Dane to use said adress for 3 months, or, getting a postal adress box from the Post Office.
Bare basics is a bicycle and tent(and of course balls of steel for daring to be so unorthodox, unusual, independent and economicaly strategical.) In the summer, camping out, either in the citty outskirts (google maps to research potential forests) or in a camping park shouldnt be that hard.
I would not get a room until employment is certain. I work as a Chef so, it should not be that hard.
