Sugar Ray is a class act, a lot of old school fighters show slight brain damage but Ray Leonard still very sharp which shows how superb his boxing skills was
Just because he still talks well he is NOT being a class act by recording Mayweather Sr trying to get him too admit he beat him fair and square over a fight that was literally decades ago.
@@AgentFTW1 I'm pretty sure he was doing it for entertainment, he's one of the best, he doesn't need to go around making other fighters admit he beat them fair lol

Floyd Mayweather senior was a very good journeyman fighter. There's nothing wrong with that. But he was a full level below world class and nothing approaching great.
I disagree with the statement of him being a journeyman. He was a pro all the way. He would of crushed a journeyman fighter.(Not to say he was a great pro,)but he was a pro though.
KEYBEATZ Journeyman fighters are pros. They are the ultimate pros. They have to work in their training on the side, because they don't make enough to just train. May Sr had the heart although the skill and greatness tilted towards Sugar Ray. I have never seen a man take so much and snap in and out of consciousness on his feet and still throw some commendable shots. Back then men were motivated with more than just money. Lot of respect for both of them. These were the real men that made boxing the sport it is today.
Man you're not lying, watching 'Ray' in wars through the years with 'Hearns', 'Duran',' Hagler', etc this cat showed a lot of heart and toughness. I think because he moved so smooth in the ring, had super fast hands, charm and style, some people wrongly mistaked that for being soft and a wimp. They made that same tragic stupid mistake with 'Ali', and what he and 'Ray' also had in common along with great ring skills and defense was great chins, they both could take shots and people forget that.
Such distinctly different personalities. Mayweather Sr. looks 20 years Ray Leonard's senior and a rather worn-out, classless bumpkin. Leonard, upon the other hand, is very well preserved and quite the gentleman - or so he appears.
Floyd Mayweather Sr fought Sugar Ray Leonard with no Hand Rest. Hand Rest is very important in Boxing. He fought Art McKnight on 25/08/1978 and fought Sugar Ray Leonard 2 weeks later on 09/09/1978. I am not saying Sugar Ray didnt win. I am just saying if he lasted 10 rounds and put up a good fight than imagine what he would have done with some Hand Rest and training just like Sugar Ray Leonard who had 2 months rest before fighting Floyd Sr. The fight could have been something big for Floyd Sr if he wasnt so distracted in his personal life.
+Faz Jay The biggest word in this English language is IF. it means everything!!! If only this, If only that. Floyd is lucky Ray did not KILL HIM that night, with the left hooks that were HAMMERING him in every round. Sugar didn't have the power to knockout Mayweather because of Mayweather'stactical defense. Ray loves to stir up shit , same shit on FB always bringing up the Duran rematch, still trying to find a way to justify how he beat a Duran who simply was not at his best that night...
Duran walked away from the fight... I mean the least he could have done was taken a dive if he was that concerned with how badly he was performing... Walking away in the middle of a fight that big, with that much money involved just shouldn't be done, makes the whole sport look bad.

Hearns and Ray leonard get along just fine. I dont know what you're talking about. the only one who is still mad is hagler, Duran isnt even mad, where did you get you're info from?
+milwaukeegregg i love hagler, king of the middlewieghts, and i also didnt like sugars performance against hagler, but u gotta admit that hagler could have done more to win that fight and sugar won because he was just the busier fighter..in my opinion the hagler/sugar fight was the least compelling of all the fights between the 4 kings
Out of the 4 you have to pick a favorite, Hagler to me was the greatest fighter of all. I don't think Ray could have taken out Mugabi like Marvin did. That fight was a one great fight and It never gets the recognition it deserves. I stated Floyd is not worth a mention next to Ray, and had he been around at that time he would have to contend with Aron Pryor at that same weight. What hospital do you think would best serve Floyd after that one. Ray would not fight him.
+milwaukeegregg i think sugar would have outboard the he'll out of Mugabe..now a great match up for me woyld be Julian Jackson vs hagler, or McClellan vs hagler, that'd all be great fights..hell even Roy Jones vs hagler tho I think hagler gets beat by Jones..and the mugabi fight is also in my top 10 fights at mw ever..the middlewieght division has always been stacked..only weak era I've seen is from 2000- 2013 When golovkin burst on the scene
where was the clash? very respectable in my opinion.. I've seen the fight a few times.. neither one of them did anything to hold there head down about... two great fighters!

Ray had this look like : watch your mouth now loll
Ray looks like he don't mess around whit nobody
hehehe this boxers entairtained the fans so much in thier peak way back a years a go and it very nice to see them being humble beings.
How old are you right now ?,,,,,,I love both of them good fighters
The whole fight is on TH-cam.. Sugar Ray was truly great.
Not a Ray fan, but Mayweather isn't worth a mention in Rays stellar career.
why arent you a sugar man fan??
I'm a Hagler fan. I don't think I need to explain. Hagler would dispatch Floyd in the first round.
+milwaukeegregg i think sugar would have outboard the he'll out of Mugabe..now a great match up for me woyld be Julian Jackson vs hagler, or McClellan vs hagler, that'd all be great fights..hell even Roy Jones vs hagler tho I think hagler gets beat by Jones..and the mugabi fight is also in my top 10 fights at mw ever..the middlewieght division has always been stacked..only weak era I've seen is from 2000- 2013 When golovkin burst on the scene
that was a good-fight" btwn them" as it was lighting vs lighting
where was the clash? very respectable in my opinion.. I've seen the fight a few times.. neither one of them did anything to hold there head down about... two great fighters!
