I've only touched Slay the Spire way before at the release of it. I've had my fun for a while and then I've put the game away. Now your constant content with informative (and snarky for comedic sense) commentary on your runs truly made me appreciate the game more and I thank you for that!

What an awesome run, and also another reason why I really like Magic Flower. I definitely think this is an underrated relic, as whenever I can pick this up I have an increased factor of winning that run by roughly 75%. What a really cool way to transform a "conventional" deck into an Anger Deck too >
My very first winning run was an unceasing top + anger + burning pact deck and for the longest time spinning top was this insane, magical, "top tier" relic in my mind. It took about 5 more encounters with it and an extra 250 hours into the game before I realized its only just situationally good. Still for some reason one of my favorite relics though. First impressions were really strong haha
Ascender's Bane hurts Top so much 😔
It is magical tho.
Unceasing Top for me is simultaneously a great and bad relic, great because easy infinite enabler, bad because it causes psychological damage when you draw good cards accidentally and don't have energy to play it.

Started playing STS again because of you. Second run back got a full balls to the wall shiv deck with frozen egg, four acurracy pluses, a ninja star, and the wrist crossbow. My shives were doing 52 damage against the heart. Love this game!!
I love to see you going for the "fun" options instead of playing it as safe as possible. Wouldn't mind seeing that even more, if it does result in a loss once in a while then that's just funny content as well. Keep up the great work!

Playing spire while watching spire. Just learned that if you use roundhouse kick on guardian as hermit on the first turn and change phase to defensive form he’ll attack you for 36 damage while in defensive form. Rather shocking interaction.
Wow LOL I wonder how it differs if roundhouse kick is used to send him into defensive mode, or before another attack that puts him into defensive mode, or if used right after sending him into defensive mode..
@@tricky8068 Well actually I roundhoused him and then phase changed with a different attack. Kind of felt like he was annoyed that I stunned him. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see what his attack cycle looked like after that, I was kind of relying on the stun to, you know, NOT take the 36 damage slam. It would be hilarious if I stuck him in defensive mode with spines and he was using attack mode moves.
To this day, still one of the greatest runs

Fun run, enjoyed it! Re: "Who next": I'd always love to see more Downfalling if you are still enjoying that. I'm curious whether infinite combo Guardian is viable at A20 or if it's only at low ascensions.
Not sure how much Downfall is on the table in the near future.. Meant to reply to this earlier. But yes, it's certainly viable at A20, there's no reason it wouldn't be, IMO. Truth is, Downfall meta is deeply underexplored, and that's kinda why I make the Downfall videos I make. If it works well for you, there's a good chance you're doing it right.

Hmm, probably for the same reason as turn 3 playing Shockwave, warcry+, and then fnp, instead of warcry+, fnp, and then Shockwave.
Because I forgot fnp existed. Hahah
