Thanks, that was a while ago now, ended up with complete crank rebuild and re-bore to 1.00mm o/s as the bores were to damaged to go out to .050mm. the SH engine was a disaster. one standard piston put in a .25mm O/s bore, knackered crank and 3 knackered gears in the box. Sold to me as having worn littler ends!!! but it was a bargain and I got £100 refund after complaining so cost me just £179 for a complete (351) 350 engine. Couldn't even get a casing for that amount now... cheers
Hello mate hope this message reaches you just a silly question on the rd350 a/b upper crankcase behind and between the cylinders (below the carbs)is a hole.What the hell is it for?Any help would be appreciated.MIK
Don't know exactly but I presume it is a drain hole for water maybe that may collect on top on the engine etc as when the cases are together it goes all the way through to under the engine
to get about another 1000 rpm outa these things use german main bearings (and theyr'e cheaper cause ya get them at the bearing house)
