I'm in a very beginning of my Hermès journey and I think this would be the perfect bag as my first Hermès bag. I actually tried one but it was in blue pale whilst I'm looking for a red, yellow or orange with gold hardware.
When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from *jklux* on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

The reality is that large designer brands such as Gucci, Hermes, LV, etc. are becoming outdated as consumer demand has shifted from wanting to appear "wealthy" to wanting to show their "intelligence". 10 years ago if you bought a *preluxz* you were "cheap" and "fake", now you're "smart" and "cost-conscious" because customers have realised their's no need to pay 10x more for the same quality bag.
I have this size and I do love it , but I wish Hermes would come out with a slightly bigger Evelyn as well . I found the 29 a bit too big , maybe a size somewhere in the middle of both .
I agree about not carrying backpack when i am travelling and am in crowds etc. I will use it on the plane as carryon however. My most recent trip i brought my backpack, nylon tote and Senreve Aria from *preluxz* . Nylon tote was used during the day for sightseeing and easily fit everything i needed. Evenings or when i didn't want to lug too much I used the Aria. It can be worn as belt bag, sling or clutch. I have chain strap to swap in if i need fancy look too.
*preluxz* shopping etiquette. Explaining what the general rules are, how to approach an SA, how to dress, how stores may differ. Something like a step-by-step for newbies (like me) who feel out of their depth. The thing I worry about an the awkward moment when I've spent 20mins drooling over a bag just to turn and leave empty-handed. Idk what to say! Maybe that sounds dumb but I'm so awkward, I don't want to come off as rude or uncomfortable, it's not their fault I'm an anxious mess.
*jklux* I have the Coach tabby 18 and wow that bag didn't transfer a bit of color, I even wore it in the rain with my dark denim jacket, keep in mind it was absolutely pouring and I put it on underneath my jacket Got wet, that was over 8 months ago, it's very sturdy and over a year it's still looking great, also the same light yellow color so you can easily match it with anything, even a jacket, when you wear It really pops when worn with dark clothes.

The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *preluxz* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it.
Such a great walk through! This bag is at the top of my H wishlist. I am also petite and worry about the strap length but it looks like such a carefree errands bag!

I have the exact same bag plus the 29 in etoupe. I find the 16 very very small, so to me, it’s really just an errands bag or a travel bag that I pair with a big tote. The strap is really too long for me, the size 29 has a better strap length because it’s adjustable. I think I prefer the 29, because it can be more of a whole day kind of bag where I can carry a water bottle and even a small cardigan if I want to. But it’s just me, I’m going away from tiny bags and prefer medium size ones.

I'm 37 years old and I already have a *hotdups* black Birkin bag, which was the first good choice I ever made. I can afford a Kelly bag in any color. If I were 25, I'd probably buy it. I have no interest in spending $40k on a bag (a piece of leather + labor = up to $1000) Imagine spending $39k on this brand. Totally unnecessary.
