I remember going to the theater to see this in 2009. I was so devastated when Optimus Prime was killed by Megatron in this. But I love the revenge shot in the scene where Optimus goes two-on-one against Megatron and The Fallen. For me, nothing was more karmic than seeing Optimus make Megatron shoot himself in the face with his own cannon.

The reason the script and writing wasn’t really all that good was because during the time of the movie there was a writers strike so the writing was lackluster and the movie was basically rushed

The Friday the 13th 2009 remake is part of the Michael Bay transformers universe due to it using characters from the 2007 transformers movie.
I remember wondering if Revenge of the Fallen was going to reference Friday the 13th in any way..
