texas vs a&m is an elimination game. a 10-2 texas with losses in their only 2 big games and their best win being vandy? michigan? arkansas? is absolutely not getting in when there’s (likely) 5 sec teams ahead of them and probably 4 11 win teams in the b10. the only team you could probably argue texas gets in over is penn state but that’s a tough tough argument when you’re 10-2 and psu is 11-1. texas cannot afford to go 0-2 in their 2 big games. and we know this bc the committee just told us that uga, who BEAT texas on the road, wasn’t gonna get in when they were 1-2 in their 3 big games
