Based on what I’ve learned from your many videos I’ve launched into retrofitting my 1911 bungalow in Portland OR. I have a 2’ cripple wall sitting on a 4 ½” foundation…so it’s much easier work than the crawl spaces of some of your videos. I’m also following the RF1 Detail Sheet from Simpson Strong-Tie so I’m feeling fairly confident I’m doing it right. Since I’m saving so much money by doing it myself, I’m installing more anchor bolts, more transfer ties, more hold downs, more structural 1 plywood, etc. than is called for. For the first time in 112 years the house will have all seams sealed and the (cripple) wall insulated! At age 80 I'm really slow but each day I get a step closer.
Many thanks for your efforts to educate us.

I've lifted a few houses so far and poured stemwall foundations and built cripple walls up to them... I'm currently on one I'd live to get some opinions on... If your available.for a quick convo please let me know I'll send you my email
