Hypertension control is the key component in the prevention and management of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, including acute coronary syndrome, heart failure and stroke etc. The first part of the Asia-Pacific Hypertension Summit 2023 will discuss in depth about the consensus and disparity between ACC/AHA (American) and ESC (European) hypertension guidelines, therapeutic stragies in management of various types of clinical hypertension from sustained, white coat, masked to resistant varieties, reliable evidence for standard of BP measurement in daily practice from office BP, home BP to 24-hour BP information, as well as the role of salt sensitive hypertension and renal denervation in specific hypertension population.
