Peristiwa Bukit Kepong

Bukit Kepong is a tragic incident in Malaysian history during the communist uprising. The incident took place at the Bukit Kepong Police Station in Muar, Johor on 23 February 1950.Sergeant Jamil at the Bukit Kepong Police Station which was conducted by 18 policemen. That day, the communists attacked the police station. Initially, about 200 communists, considered early victories. Sergeant Jamil was among the several police officers and their families that were killed. Despite the fact that the station was destroyed in a fire, the officers' bravery is remembered to this day.
