Well out of all 6 Friends one deserved a spin-off. It was either gonna be Joey or Phoebe. Phoebe ended up marrying Mike Hannigan (Paul Rudd) and when everyone else went their separate ways. Joey being the only one who didn't end up with someone, moves to L.A. to become a serious actor and probably ends up with Alex Garrett (Andrea Anders).

The timing was wrong for it’s release. Everything seems in order: Good Supporting Cast, Funny Storylines & Scripts, Coolidge… There’s no reason it shouldn’t have gone all the way.
