409 When my parents got their Caddy with real wire rims they gave away the secret to cleaning them. It's the same instructions that they are giving here and works to a tee. Big price difference.
A product called S-doc cleaner will do the same thing but leave no residue. Protect from corrosion and make the next wash easier by applying a thin coat of S Doc 100 afterwards. Simple
I see S-doc on Revzilla. I used muc-off and hand cleaned with shop towels while I had rear off, worked great. That nano tech muc off stuff is good for just about anything and leaves nano size particles in the surface pores of paint/metal, so theoretically it cleans easier next time. (hint, motul bug cleaner, followed by muc-off for bugs on fairing)
Alloy wheel cleaner sprays which do this job have been available in the UK for at least 10 years. (Only an american motorcycle dealer would say " Create exposure to water pressure" when he really means "Hose it off" HaHa!)
Bought it used it Piled it on, DID NOT WORK! Lost$11 to ship back but sent it back anyway. Took only the a layer of grime off. No better way but to do it by hand not halfassed. Yeah! Halfass cleaner!
great vid!! that was amazing, wish I can afford that....just saw my spokes have mold and salt moisture from living near ocean...is there a home remedy to this? vinegar or coca cola do the same???
All of you here who are looking for an easy way to clean your rims are just waiting on the rust to pit your rims to death. Get off(or maybe on in this scenario) your asses, buy you a Scotch No Scratch pad, and put some elbow grease into it. I just bought an '08 Street Bob with wires and the one owner I bought it from claimed it never seen water. Not in rain nor wash. He used some waterless bullshit it on it. When I brought it home, she seen her first water hose and the more I washed it, the more I realized it was severely neglected. I have spent almost 2 hours on the front wheel and it looks brand new. The rear is in much worse shape. Looking so ever forward to getting my hands on it.
I personally would never use a pressure washer on any vehicle. Moisture is being forced into places it was never meant to be under normal circumstances.
Anytime I see these demonstrations whether it be on TV, TH-cam or a State Fair, the product never delivers in real life, never. Wire spoke wheels look great on some motorcycles. However, they are not only difficult to clean and subject to rust, but the spokes need adjusting as well. I went with a virtually maintenance free solid rim on my current bike. More time riding.

spokes for off road or adventure bikes, unless cracked wheel in alaska sounds good ;) Works for you, not for my app
Don't waste your money on this. Just use white vinegar, lemon juice and water also a toothbrush and wash off with water 🤣
Bullshit...you don't show the wheel before you started.
