Gillian, as an Entrepreneur Coach who does 1 on 1 coaching, I found this simple process of developing a business plan extremely useful. Most people complicate business plans and get overwhelmed. As a starting point this is great.
Gillian, I have done business planning annually in a field I’m not enjoying and it was all surface, statistics and action based and missed the emotional and ‘fulfill the need’ component. I’ve been working on the foundation of my new business so I can leave the current career and set a goal of 4-6 years for the transition. I’ve been binge watching your videos (yes to the end to get those TH-cam stats) and I must say in the months of research I’ve done to find a mentor for this process you are now it. I printed out the business plan weeks ago and it looked kinda basic. But this morning I filled it all out and WOW! The stuff that flowed out of me was unpredicted and pretty amazing. I had an idea of the company direction but in just an hour I found some true missing pieces and dug onto my soul and came up with a bigger and better plan than I could image. I look forward to your mentor ship. I purchased your TH-cam course yesterday and will be joining the start up society soon. Thanks for all you do! I would really like to be one of your success stories in the future. And I think that may just be able to happen for me. You have great leadership skills for sure.
Wooooaahhhh! i just watched the previous Business Plan video and then came to this one.. i immediately noticed the elevation in the structure, explanation, and example you articulate. Its the same information but you have improved in such a noticible way from one video to the next. GREAT JOB!!

Wow Gillian, You have done an absolutely fantastic Job as explaining all of this. Can't tell you how many times I have started a business plan following a youtube tutorial and never finished it. You are blessed with ability to express and explain in detail so elegantly and easy enough for someone with little to no knowledge of creating a Business Plan. Given it took me half a day to research while following your tutorial, I can say wholeheartedly that for the first time in years I have completed a Full Business Plan. Just downloaded the template and watched the training series. Sheesh!! I knew I was missing a bunch of stuff in my plan, but these questions and videos are so simple yet thorough. I need to go back to the drawing board! Very good content.

Yes planning is key. I worked with a company who didn't follow the carpenter's rule of "measure twice, cut once" and instead would "cut once, cut again if it didn't fit and chew out the person sweeping up the sawdust, cut again and blame the tree..."

Revenue (gross sales) as in BEFORE expenses is deducted? or Net Sales or Net revenue AFTER expenses? Sorry, I get confused. I wonder if I'll even get a reply from Gillian lol

I've been encountering a problem in finding a business template uniquely suited to my magician business. As a professional entertainer, I struggle to translate a couple areas from this guide to my own business needs. I enjoyed watching this videos and I learned quite a bit but the whole "Product" section threw me for a loop because I don't manufacture a product or sell multiple products. I guess my product would be my show/act I've spent most of my life developing. I currently make most of my money through busking and tips and I get the odd gig here and there but I would rather spend less time relying on the generosity of others in tips and more time booking and doing gigs. I really want to pursue this full time. Could you (or anyone reading this) offer suggestions on a business plan for a entertainer??
I think it's the same but you need to think of your product as a service Main product: entertaining shows Result and Impact: relaxation, entertainment, destress, sense of wonder I think something along those lines but I'm no pro I'm just learning too😅
I was scrolling through to find something about how to create a good business plan. I found your site and it is really helpful. It explains in detail what I needed to know. My business is B2B and my intended target is Manufacturer Facilities around the world, so I have a very large audience. My work has led me to 38 countries and all 50 states. That was when I was working for someone else. Now I'm trying to start up on my own and this is really tough but I do have a good customer pool. Thank you for the advice and the information. I have one question though: When you film I notice the camera zooms or changes view every so often. Do you have a camera operator or are you piecing together segments of filming?

since my business is not online, i might have to wait till im 18 to start it cause thats when my dad gets out of the military.
