Hello, I NEED A DEVICE THAT WILL RING AN OLD FASHION PHONE / EXTERNAL BELL WHEN A CALL COMES IN. WILL THIS DEVICE DO THE JOB? I DONT THINK MAJIC JACK HAS ENOUGH RING POWER. I AM ALSO LOOKING AT VONAGE WHICH IS EXPENSIVE. THX FEARSRN❤☎
@Willie Howe can you make a video on how to do a site to site ipsec vpn between pfsense and edge router x using FQDN i have tried and it refuses to connect or even work
Can we use two HT801 back to back to extend a POTS line over IP (e.g. using WiFi)? My use case is the following: I have the operator's router (FTTH converter to DVB-T coax/4 RJ45 Ethernet ports/2 RJ11 POTS ports), I have an old analog phone connected to 1 RJ11 POTS port, but I would like to connect this to another analog phone in another room and I don't have wired connection passed between both ends. I am wondering if with an ATA or two like these (one in each end) I could use WiFi to connect them, would this be possible?
Will it work over T-Mobile 5G home Internet (uses their Cell Phone Network)? Maybe not; TM may be intentionally blocking the standard VoIP ports. They've even dropped their hardware ATA device (RJ11-RJ45 jacks). Is it the service provider that incorporates some port forwarding scheme to allow it to work (...until TM notices and then blocks those ports too)?
Can I skip the SIP-part when configuring? I do not know the SIP, having just basic info from my Ip-provider. I using IP-router just, no telefon-system.
It's a piece of crap . Have one installed and it's been a nightmare calls coming every minutes none stop no one at the other end , having to turn all sound of or unplugging it. Don't waste your money.
Can u do step by step for the HT801 to fax machine?
Thank you for asking I also can not for the life of me figure how to set it up with my printer/fax.

Depends on the SIP provider.

Connect ATA to broadband modem, you're good to go.
