  • I'm building a 4g63 Tomei stroker 2.2. The build at the moment includes the engine long block from pan to valve cover with manifolds.... how much does that cost? What kind of money should you expect to spend on a 7-800hp capable long block? Lets find out! #mitsubishievolution #4g63 #cp9a #mitsubishi #jdm

@@wrenchrampage thats awesome! I actually went with the fp red. The build isnt done yet. id be curious to see what power you can make on the black, you should do that!

Theres a few things in this video alone that can fit on a 4g69, I’m personally going to try and fit the tomei oil scraper/baffle kit for my 4g69, as it doesn’t have any kind of windage tray on it from factory

Keep in mind this is more like a max effort build, there are a lot of items not needed to make power, for example you can make around 400hp on the stock head with pretty much just drop in cams.

Let’s say it’s 20 grand, without machining, you can cut those costs by reusing things like the timing covers, your original valve cover, so 20 grand, buy in $2k at a time, that’s 10 orders. Just take it in pieces. I didn’t see him include a turbo upgrade, valve springs, exhaust, suspension… just take it in chunks. It’s nice having a big pile of parts and tearing stuff apart to replace with new. My car is a 2005, with 39k miles and I still replace bolts. But I also bag and label my factory ones to save. Have fun with it!
