Hey, I know this comment is way after the fact. Love your stuff. Glad you got D.C. on. His wesker voice never ceases to get me stoked. I gotta say this though, as a big fan of the series myself for a long time. There is ground work in the resident evil canon that easily could lead to Wesker returning. Cloning from umbrella Corp. and RE revelations 2 consciousness transfer Alex performed on Natalia easily could make it a done deal. Either capcom doesn’t care about Wesker all that much anymore or there waiting for the right time to bring him back, like Vergil in DMC 5. If that’s the case, I’m not expecting him back in RE8, obviously. That’s a different animal and will probably have vastly different additions, possibly subtractions to the canon once it’s out. However, for Wesker to return, Jake Mueller might be captured for dna samples by what remains of the H.C.F. Wesker once worked for. If that’s the case, not only could we get a return of Wesker, but a more perfected body for Wesker to where he wouldn’t need the serum he used in Re5 to regulate his powers due to Jake’s powerful antibodies possibly perfecting his genes.

Honestly, they shouldn't even bother recasting Wesker whenever the remakes get around to him. Douglas's performance is so critical to what makes that character so good that a replacement couldn't help but fall short.
