This video was a labor of love that was intended to be shared and thank you for it! You could have just watched the show and enjoyed the raw performance but you chose to let us all in on the experience. I saw them a few+ months ago in Asheville and just as magical. So good to see the Turkuaz sisters being in the mix! For me... that just puts a golden cap on the whole thing. ❤
Saw it in Anaheim, CA last night. Outstanding. I was around for the 1983 Talking Heads tour that was the source of the "Stop Making Sense" concert film, and this was almost as great.
Fantastic Band, Fantastic drummer also. Saw the Band Turkaz I believe he and also the backing singers originate from live in NYC in 2011, and already back then thought. Really amazing funky musicians! This is a joy to watch. Hope they come to Europe with this!
This is the Remain In Light show June 9th, 2023 in Asheville, NC with Steve Scales! They opened for Les Claypool and Sean Lennon! th-cam.com/video/GKHTjIvH6Aw/w-d-xo.html
If this isn’t proof that Adrian Belew has been doing a David Byrne impression singing ever since he toured with them, I don’t know what is. Monster on guitar obviously.
I am staggered how much talking seems to be going on throughout! Who pays to go to a concert and then have a loud conversation instead of actually listening?
@@jamesbeard I've had some success confronting folks about it. Not angrily, but calmly: "Excuse me, I drove a long way to get here, and I've really been looking forward to tonight. It's difficult to enjoy the show with so many people talking." Works more often than you'd think. If it's general admission, you can always move as a last resort.
Adrian Belew is one of my all time favorite singers/guitarists. He has so much energy, fun, & power on stage.
I love how he always sounds like himself no matter what guitar he plays or band setting. He's amazing for sure :)
He's so creative, technical and fun. Belew is great.
@@Averyssimo I am seeing the Beat tour in Phoenix on 9/18.
Spectacular show in Portland Maine last night. ❤
You're not wrong.

Wow. Julie Slick knocks it out of the park!
when Tina Weymouth saw the show with Chris in Ct.she was very impressed with Julie and told her, these are your songs now.
As usual 😊
She is a tremendous bass player.
Saw her with the Adrian Belew power Trio also. She is phenomenal.
Fear of Music was one of my favorite albums
MEMORABLE!
oh awesome julie is in the band ...cant wait whooo hooo!!!
Adrian and Jerry both do a wonderful job with the David Byrne vocal parts. Adrian sounds almost exactly like him, to my ear.

I was there too and you're right it was outstanding.
And I'm sure many others would agree with our consensus, my friend. @@davidgottlieb531

I was completely impressed with the Boston, MA stop on this tour from the second Cool Cool Cool walked on stage. What a show!!!
I m glad that the chemistry between Jerry Harrison and Adrian belew is still right, the brass is good
Well this deserves more views!
Lolol old fender tube Amp front and center? Greatness.. Psycho killer sounds killer
I wish they would come to the UK!
Oh, thank God. We were in the second row and it was difficult to see everything.
It took me a moment to recognize you said second row. 🤣 You poor thing! But I do get how the closeup is more selective and limited. :) What a show!

Watch him do some Beatles tunes and you'd think it's all a composite of that.. he's got a few things going on
Can’t wait to see them in NY
Steve Reich opening...
I had a VIP ticket for the Asheville show and so I was able to record the Q&A with Jerry and Adrian! th-cam.com/video/ClXmkNzHAAQ/w-d-xo.html
really wish the audience would just shut up and listen
