Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds almost like any metal band. Flake (pronounced Fla-kay in German), the treadmilling keyboardist, his lightning is a post production effect. Flake also has had REAL flamethrowers shot at him during shows (one wearing the full hooded silver suit worn in metal foundries. Fans: that was some crazy stuff. Till Lindeman : hold my Jagermeister, you haven't seen anything yet.
Till Lindemann (the Singer), used to be on a short list to the 1980 Olympics (for East Germany), but he never got there, and he have kept himself in shape ever since. Till is also a licensed pyrotechnician, and does all the pyro himself. "An incident in September 1996 caused a section of the band's set to burn, and as a result, Lindemann got his certification in pyrotechnics so the band could perform with pyrotechnics more safely than it had previously" The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage. The real reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flammable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty. I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd. "The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real.
Pyro is one of their trademarks. In the US they do it as well, but sometimes not that excessive as in Europe Open Air. At the last Tour their opening was in Dresden and some people living near by (very loosely) even called firefighters because they thought the Stadium was on fire. One of the first tours to US they were also denied the pyro at one site.. was a but if a downer for the guys ;). The stuff on his arm was in earlier days coffeesud but I gues now it is some theater paint. The close relationship to fire and pyro goes back to their first concerts, where Till (leadsinger) used to stay and walk in a coat on fire. He himself is now a certified pyrotechnic, but after one incident they also now employ a team who is developing and planing the crazy stuff, so they can push the limits for their shows constantly.

I haven't watched Rammstein in a long time... thanks I forgot how amazing they are... they are truly pyromaniacs and made for some very kewl videos... they were also in the movie xXx which was awesome but the Pyro in the movie was awesome as well... I have their first 5 albums and 1 VHS of their videos and concert. So amazing... welcome to the craziness of Rammstein... their Drummer Christoph Doom Schneider is amazing... What shall we do with our American friends. Never heard from the great European bands like Rammstein, Nightwish or Sabaton. Ozzy Osbourne is a "poor prescholar" compared to Rammstein. Rammstein is one of the famoust metal bands in these days and the best live band by fare. I'm nearly 60 and I saw them all. Metallica, Slipknot, Pink Floyd, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Queen, Stones, Nazareth, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest. When it comes to showmanship and Pyro, no band in this world can compete with a Rammstein show. A Rammstein concert is a livetime experience you will never forget, especially in the first rows when you feel the heat and you realize the oxygen is lacking in the air, because of all the fire. But you can buy a T-shirt after a Rammstein concert, written on it: I survived Rammstein :-)

There is no way that Baby Metal can compete with a Rammstein show. Watch the new Stadium tour of Rammstein!! To build the stage of Rammstein one week is needed, 70 trucks and 400 people around one show. Therfore Rammstein has two stages on tour. Ramstein uses special material for their pyro. two thirds of the annual consumption from china for one tour.

My point is just that In terms of spectacle (showmanship paired with perfectionism) Babymetal are equally entertaining. (I commented that because you wrote "no band can compete"). Just look at their shows in Tokyo dome in 2016 or Hiroshima in 2017...
While Rammstein became more and more famous and at the same time expanded their show more and more, they were not yet headlining festivals. But it didn't take long until even Slipknot said: Try everything not to have to perform after Rammstein! I guess that's all that needs to be said about it !
First of all, good reaction.I like it when somebody look up the lyrics before. I´ll try to explain the have/hate situation here. They obviosly playing withe the doublemeaning of the word because it´s pronounced exatly the same even if it is written different hate-hasst have-hast. The lyrics translated word by word would be" you have asked me " the word have or in german hast is there because of the german gramma . In this tense in german called "perfekt" there has to be added a have, like in english when you use the simple present perfect. They also decribe the same Tense(an action theat began in the past but last for now. So the crowd is not yelling you hate, but you have. The doublemeaning is just a coincidence of german gramma and pronounciation wich fits perfect to the context of the Song. They also build it up to amplify the effect of the double meaining. -You -You Hate/have -You hate/have me (have doesn`t makes sense here unless you know whats coming next) -you hate/have asked me ( hate doesn´t makes sense here and the actual meaning of the sentence gets reavealed) I hope i explained it right cause i am not a english or german teacher and school has been over 10 years now. By the way the lighting is not real. It´s added in the postproduction just like the layers after the gun explosion, in real it`s just one bang with sparkles and thats it, even pretty impressive though. The song lyrics also give the answer as to why he answers no to her question. The line " BIS ZUM TOD DER SCHEIDE" can be translated as "until the death that separates" or as "until the death off the vagina". So he is only with her as long as they have sex.
That's almost right, because he's singing the whole time "BIS DER TOT EUCH SCHEIDE", which in German is a solemn, contrived formulation at a wedding for: do you want to love and honor him/her until death do you part", so separate. He only exchanges the two words once, so that it then means "BIS ZUM TOT DER SCHEIDE", "until death of the sheath", as you correctly explained. A fine little play on words that one can quickly overhear. There is also another example of something like this in "Piano". He always sings "I held my breath when you started playing" until he ends up exchanging two words. Then it says "She held her breath when I started playing". You can imagine what that means...

The whole point of the double meaning - they are different words, hast and hasst, is that nothing is for sure. The official video makes it clear that it's 'bros before hoes'.

Till the lead singer has a masters in pyrotechnics and does most of the design. As far as the blood it’s from a previous song production in the show. It was awesome. I just gained a liking of this group from my stepson along with Kamalot and Areyon are awesome also.

Till is also a licensed pyrotechnician, and does all the pyro himself.

The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage.
The real reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flammable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty.
I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd.
"The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real.

Pyro is one of their trademarks. In the US they do it as well, but sometimes not that excessive as in Europe Open Air. At the last Tour their opening was in Dresden and some people living near by (very loosely) even called firefighters because they thought the Stadium was on fire. One of the first tours to US they were also denied the pyro at one site.. was a but if a downer for the guys ;).
The stuff on his arm was in earlier days coffeesud but I gues now it is some theater paint.
The close relationship to fire and pyro goes back to their first concerts, where Till (leadsinger) used to stay and walk in a coat on fire. He himself is now a certified pyrotechnic, but after one incident they also now employ a team who is developing and planing the crazy stuff, so they can push the limits for their shows constantly.

What shall we do with our American friends. Never heard from the great European bands like Rammstein, Nightwish or Sabaton. Ozzy Osbourne is a "poor prescholar" compared to Rammstein. Rammstein is one of the famoust metal bands in these days and the best live band by fare. I'm nearly 60 and I saw them all. Metallica, Slipknot, Pink Floyd, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Queen, Stones, Nazareth, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest. When it comes to showmanship and Pyro, no band in this world can compete with a Rammstein show. A Rammstein concert is a livetime experience you will never forget, especially in the first rows when you feel the heat and you realize the oxygen is lacking in the air, because of all the fire. But you can buy a T-shirt after a Rammstein concert, written on it: I survived Rammstein :-)

To build the stage of Rammstein one week is needed, 70 trucks and 400 people around one show. Therfore Rammstein has two stages on tour. Ramstein uses special material for their pyro. two thirds of the annual consumption from china for one tour.

I´ll try to explain the have/hate situation here.
They obviosly playing withe the doublemeaning of the word because it´s pronounced exatly the same even if it is written different hate-hasst have-hast.
The lyrics translated word by word would be" you have asked me " the word have or in german hast is there because of the german gramma .
In this tense in german called "perfekt" there has to be added a have, like in english when you use the simple present perfect. They also decribe the same Tense(an action theat began in the past but last for now.
So the crowd is not yelling you hate, but you have.
The doublemeaning is just a coincidence of german gramma and pronounciation wich fits perfect to the context of the Song.
They also build it up to amplify the effect of the double meaining.

-You hate/have me (have doesn`t makes sense here unless you know whats coming next)

By the way the lighting is not real. It´s added in the postproduction just like the layers after the gun explosion, in real it`s just one bang with sparkles and thats it, even pretty impressive though.

That's almost right, because he's singing the whole time "BIS DER TOT EUCH SCHEIDE", which in German is a solemn, contrived formulation at a wedding for: do you want to love and honor him/her until death do you part", so separate. He only exchanges the two words once, so that it then means "BIS ZUM TOT DER SCHEIDE", "until death of the sheath", as you correctly explained. A fine little play on words that one can quickly overhear.
There is also another example of something like this in "Piano". He always sings "I held my breath when you started playing" until he ends up exchanging two words. Then it says "She held her breath when I started playing". You can imagine what that means...
