@@ronniefozz5028 Anthony Van Dyck won the epsom derby and was never in form again and has shown to not do well outside the EU. 12th/14th in the HK vase.
You might say that going to australie he won the prix foy but against Who? Stradivarius who has shown to be a good stayer. But not a classic type horse. In the Caulifield Van Dyck was carrying the most weight and still went second showing just how weak the field was. And in the next race we all know what happened he really didnt travel well.
Colette exclusively raced in australia. And has a record of 25: 8-5-0 Never Tried racing abroad.

@@ChickenTendies888 I want you to think about this, when winx started her 33 unbeaten streak she was 4yo apart from the 2 she won in Queensland, so as a 4yo she raced against 3yo to 8yos, that's 6 crops that had a chance of beating her, as you know she retired at 7yo, so over that 4 years another 3 crops of 3yos came along, so in total that's 9 crops. Tell me which horse over that period you think could have beaten her between 1400 and 2000 metres. If you have an old Miller's guide and check times, the only 2 horses since the strathayr track in 1998 was laid that could have got within 2 or 3 lengths of her were might and power and so you think. Might and power ran 2 3.5and so yo think ran 2 3.9 as a 3yo. Winx ran 2 2.9 and change twice her last win in 2 3.5 the day she won by 8 lengths was well outside those times due to a wet track. Most horses since 1998 have run on average around 2.6. I can tell you with certainty she is the greatest horse Australia has seen, and in the top handful the world has seen. Some of those group ones she won were poorly contested, but as alluded to above who was the horse in Australia and New Zealand that we could have put in those poorly contested races and got close to her? I can tell you that horse didn't exist, and I can tell you another certainty, no horse in australias 160 odd years of racing would have beaten her. Remember also we dont race on fast tracks these days.
I forgot to say, as great a horse as very elegant is she wouldn't get near winx between 1400 to 2000.
@@iansmith587 Winx was great, but the record wasn't tested. Who did she beat that created form for other champions....... none. Verry Elleegant has mixed it with the best and beaten them despite handicap conditions which Waller avoided for the winning streak.
