A Walk Around MERSTHAM | Surrey

On the way to rehearsals in Horley on Sunday 10th June 2018, I stop by in Merstham along the A23 in Surrey for some exploration. Merstham is a village in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and part of the North Downs Way National Trail runs along the northern boundary of the Village. The M23 and M25 intersect here. I visit the world's first public Railway Plaque, the picturesque Quality Street and the early medieval Church of St Katherine's.

I think you will find that the railway started near the outflow of the Wandle on the old Youngs Brewery site, just to the north of Wandsworth town centre.

I wonder if you have filmed in the church in Chaldon, not far from Merstham, and the fabulous 12th century medieval 'doom' painting. It is one of the most extraordinary wall paintings in the UK.

it is Merst - Ham that was so anoying. why was the camera on you most of the time not the view. There are other places in Merstham as well as Quality St
