Holy jeez the weather scared me from going out this weekend, feels like -40°! Stay safe out there. I have an older version of that Luminaid, it must be like 5 years old and it still works!

I didn’t think too much of the light until you opened it up. After some effort. If that was me I would have broken it before seeing that plug. Like the different colours too.

I'll be curious to know how it works in your hot tent this coming weekend. Lithium batteries are known not to be efficient in extreme cold and hot environments. If you think it's a great product bring it to Canoecopia next month so I can check it out myself. Keep up the great educational videos and don't forget to add a little bit of humor that's always welcome.
Kevin I use the Luminoodle Rope Light. It is usb powered so I just plug it into the battery pack and I run the whole light along the top of of my snowtrekker. Cant recommend it enough.

I've had 2 of the Luminaid. The fill stem rotted out on both of them after being stored in my closet and never used in the cold.
That's not good. I'll have to see how mine works out. I'll be using it throughout the season.
I got one of those, the solar panel didn't work and it didn't hold a charge well. It put out decent light tho.
Good to know. I'm heading out soon to give it a try on trip and will give it a more solid review.
