I believe that this piece is so difficult to play that the comments he makes while playing are actually integrated into the tune and are probably uttered at the same time at every performance to make the performance seem effortless. Steve Martin demonstrates how difficult it is to speak while playing the banjo.
That's fantastic. My hands are just as fast. they can't be controlled by my brain though. They tell me it's hereditary. There is medication for it. Alcohol seems to "Steady me Hand". It tastes a wee better than the meds, and I git frisky. That's another story.
