@@agent7176 I mean... you kind have to admit it. His patterns are great, his music is amazing, his story is captivating...
But, drawing isn't really his strong side.
He's improved a lot at a steady pace ever since this franchise began, and at this point in time I'd definitely say his art can be called good. But it if you look back at his PC-98 art, this Rumia is basically the same artstyle but in higher fidelity and with generally better lineart.
That said, I still think his PC-98 portraits look better than the early Windows era ones. That transition from pixel art over to a higher-res, more traditional look must've taken some getting used to.
His background work is goated, though. Always has been.
@@smol_hornet613 yes, YES, the backgrounds are one of my favorite aspects of Touhou (Mountain of Faith's are especially gorgeous imo), and I think they don't get enough recognition when it comes to the games' visual style, they're as important to it as everything else.
Kind of surprising how uncommon covers of the Wav version are; nice work
probably people just pulling up the MIDI that comes with the game and saying "oh look, a free transcription"

probably, though it's probably a bit harder to do with a BambooTracker module than using a native driver like PMD
