For ppl wondering why Pot is spamming Garuda and later Slide head. Garuda after a knockdown will end in being a meaty, its +19, so a kara Garuda leaves Nago with only a 9 frame gap to mash something under the assumption Pot is in range of 5k which he typically wont be. "Why wont nago just jump?" Nago has a 10f jump, the gap is 9 frames. As great as rollback is theres still some delay. Snakeeyez would have to make a big enough gap to let Nago out. Guard breaks wreck your hp and your tension guage which causes this situation to further snow balls. Kara Garuda also lowers the push back because its a sliding Garuda that counters FDs push back. This forces a situation where the Nago has to IB to escape the situation but missing the IB means you lose 60%(+) of your health because you can command grab someone who is staggered. Why he was spamming slide head? Because the nago was at high blood meaning the nago had no options. Slide head builds meter and the nago, who had no options, wouldve had to take a massive gamble to get in a position where he could do something. Why is the nago stopping his own pressure to do jump H? To stop kara back mega fist or hes guessing.
If you get a (hard) knockdown and meaty with a Garuda, it's usually not +19f on Block. Pot can go even higher (+29f maximum) than that and guarantee two Garuda's to mix them up. There usually won't be a gap to mash on if Pot did it right. Where are you getting Nago having a 10f jump? That's only on his super jump which isn't a requirement to beat Garuda pressure. Nago can literally just forward jump, j.H, 5K, Beyblade, then 6H OTG. The reason why Nago's don't do it is because they're scared of the pressure itself or Pot has meter to react to the jump. At most, you only need to block two Garuda's. One if it came from a block string, two if it came from a meaty. You can jump or challenge Garuda from a blockstring, and you can backdash the meaty Garuda if Pot tries to get the late active frames in. I wouldn't call it a snowball; I would just call it a meter tax. Kara Garuda mitigates the FD pushback, yes, but it gives the player more frames to fuzzy mash/jump/backdash what comes next. The extra plus frames from Meaty Garuda actually gives you more throw protection, so use it to fuzzy beat the Pot Buster mix. Guard Crush only removes 5f of throw protection after block stun. You're still in block stun with the Meaty Garuda. If you can FD where Pot can't hit you with 2K, just hold it and react to his next Garuda because he can't Pot Buster that far. The best options he got is 2D, 6H, shimmy in, Kara in, or do some crazy PRC tech. IB-ing Garuda Pressure sounds hard to do, but isn't required. If it's a non-meaty Garuda (so active frame 1), as long it's not the color 10 skin, you can react to the Gear shifting in Pot's arm. When the gear shifts, that's the visual cue to IB or IBFD. This is perfectly safe to do especially with FD macro. I don't know why you would IB it though. He's still +19 on block. He's gonna 5K into tick throw, 5D, 2D, or Garuda that. Raw Pot Buster is still an option too. That just sounds like a bad situation to be in. Goldlewis pressure is a different story. You're correct that Nago can't do much against Slide Head on High Blood. They have to super jump in after reacting to Slide Head but it's risky if Pot has meter.
Nago's prejump isn't 10 frames bro... No character would ever be viable with a 10 frame prejump. His prejump is 5 frames, it's only 10 if he super jumps. Nago players don't jump after garuda very often because he lacks a double jump, so being airborne is more risky. His prejump is 1 frame higher than many characters (because like pot and goldlewis, he is a heavy character), but it's mostly just because of nago's limited air mobility, not because he has an outrageous 10 frames of jump startup.
@@valent9r take what’s said here with a grain of salt as not all of it is accurate. nago just standing still after Garuda can be explained by simply saying that Garuda has guard crush properties (you can search fighting game glossary by infil online for a more in depth explanation of guard crush) and due to nagos poor movement he isn’t as capable of getting out of the situation as other characters
This was the most surreal things I've ever seen. Just watching one of the best grappler players in the world play slidehead and do nothing before winning 3-0.

ok so I am 100% honest and curious......I've never played as Potemkin but I HAVE watched some other vids of these with Snake Eyez using him and.....was there a reason why he was spamming the same moves like crazy in all of THESE matches? Like, after reading these comments I understand why he did what he did at 7:37(fill up a meter) but in the second round of first match he spammed that flame thrower, one match was literally MEGA PISTO MEGA PISTO MEGA PISTO.......does it have to do with the match up or something?
The reason he's spamming slide head at 7:37 is partially to build gauge but mainly because Nago's blood gauge was too high for him to use his mobility tool, so Nago was basically stuck. The reason he's spamming garuda in the 2nd round is just because it's literally his best move and pressure tool.
@@gator6508 I TRULY wanted to type in something like "is he trolling" or "does he have a personal grudge against acanofpatience" or like "are they actually friends IRL and he's just being an arse" XD Cause as I stated I have seen many of these videos with Snake eyez in them and he's never been acting like this
With the understanding that I would clearly want buffs to offset this, garuda impact seriously needs to be nerfed because it's almost universally the best option Potemkin has in most situations and continues to loop into itself over and over. I don't think it's a healthy playstyle for the game and it's sad that he almost gets forced into using it since his gameplan can fall apart so quickly vs. many characters.
