Engineer is somewhat as the same level with accels, in their own thing of course, tho using engineer as early defence in hardcore is shitty bc of lead enemies Accel can do insane DPS but it's a burst, engineers sentries will keep on firing until it is destroyed, with the shield, it's actually much better, just use ur brain and don't put it close to the path, engineer can quickly refill her scrap metre and build sentrys after the stun ends getting to it's usual dps again, commander can help engineer build her scrap metre much faster, dj only helps with upgrades, and medic can help get the sentries up again, its basically accel but with few nerfs and buffs to make it as the same level even tho with DPS changing a bit 2 void reaver will have quite annoying stuns, so 1 void reaver is better with more health, but less stun abuse especially for the engineer So, i can see why they put it at 4.5k But remember, green scout will dominate both for them

I don't think anyone's taking in consideration that events have way shorter waves. You only have 20 waves to prepare with six people and an enemy with a million health in the frost event. However, you have 50 ways to prepare in hardcore with 3 people. So I'd say they're both equal.
