Hi Gina, I love foundation paper piecing. I have been sewing two different type papers the last week and today in the mail I was supposed to receive the ones you demonstrated. But they didn’t come. Hopefully tomorrow. I love the precise piecing that you get! Enjoy your week! 🪡✂️🧵
Cute block! I like your light center and darker outer. I think a baby quilt would be really cute with these papers. Glad you left in your mishaps because that's what real piecing is like. Good strategy for changing the needle and cleaning sewing machine.
I totally agree, half of the learning is figuring out how to fix your mistakes, so I always try to include the real life parts, just laugh and learn. Thank you for watching and I can't wait to see that baby quilt!
I've been dying to play with these papers, just haven't had time. thanks for showing how it all goes together! Love your humor and it's always nice to know that we ALL make mistakes.
Love the realism in this video!! I thought I'd try it myself and made those same dang mistakes!!😂 So then I went to find a video to help me and you made me feel so normal!!❤ Your video!!
Great tutorial, was wondering how these went together. Like your colour choices too. Thanks for not pretending you’re fast or perfect. Didn’t realise you had a channel, will have to go back now and watch the rest 🙂
I haven't done many paper piecing projects, but the ones I have done I used by the Fat Quarter Shop and I LOVE them... they are so easy to follow and so much fun! Gina, I love that you show the steps so clearly, even bobbins running out and a little mishap - but your responses are so funny and am really enjoying your tutorials 😊.
Gina I hate to say this but thank you so much for making a few mistakes. Yes, I needed this because it really helpes me to see what to do and how to use the ripper for tiny stitches. Thank you for your help so much. This will be my first paper peicing project. You are the best!!
I am so glad to hear this, mistakes are made and it’s important to learn that part too, I hope you’re enjoying the paper piecing! ❤️ Thanks for watching
Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve had these papers for awhile but just had no clue had to do it! Now I do. It was amazing how easily you removed that fabric with such a small stitch length!!!
Gina, I just love your videos. The way you explain is so easy to understand. I really enjoy your content and I hope you keep the videos coming. One of my favorite quilting channels to watch.
Hey Gina, I use a rotary cutter to rip those stitches...it makes it soooo easy! When you get used to using a rotary cutter you will never go back to a seam ripper,.
Yes, perfect blocks are so nice, I am hosting a charity quilt for St Jude using the square in a square papers right now, the papers are great for group projects with friends too!
Thanks for the tutorial! I bought a package to whittle down my scrap fabric pile. (The whittling will take years.) I like that you used blue fabrics for the outer sections.
Yes, I’ve seen that before. If that works for you then that’s great, I personally don’t really care if my 1/4 inch cuts are perfect from the back, as long as your stitches on the line are straight the front will look great! Thanks for watching!
Love the paper piecing ,method especially when your a beginner quilter.
I love the fact that you don’t sound like your reading a script and you are very relatable
Thank you, I hate scripts too LOL I just want to sew and have fun, thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for being so real. Great tutorial. I always learn for your videos.
Thank you for appreciating my ridiculousness!! 😁❤️
I love the tip on how to take the seam apart! I never knew that.

I have a Ginger ripper that is like a little razor I use sometimes, but I’ve done this clover one so long its second nature now lol
I have a hard time pulling seams apart. Thanks for the tip. I have learned something from your mistake!😺
I love foundation paper piecing. I have done several of Fat Quarter Shops patterns. They make every block perfect.
Yes, perfect blocks are so nice, I am hosting a charity quilt for St Jude using the square in a square papers right now, the papers are great for group projects with friends too!
@@GinaTellThreadGraffiti Gina I sent you 100 11/2 inch blocks I had so much fun making them. I hope your Saint Jude quilt comes out great
Thanks for the tutorial! I bought a package to whittle down my scrap fabric pile. (The whittling will take years.) I like that you used blue fabrics for the outer sections.
Great video thank you.
Also was wondering on the square and square blocks we send will we see a final product....
I’ll do a video with some progress soon, I have started making rows.
I was taught to use a post card to fold over paper and crease while folded over use add a quarter ruler to trim extra fabric
Yes, I’ve seen that before. If that works for you then that’s great, I personally don’t really care if my 1/4 inch cuts are perfect from the back, as long as your stitches on the line are straight the front will look great! Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Good job. Thank you for sharing your mistake with such grace. Quilting should be fun. Boo boos are just a part of the process.
I was yelling "No No that the wrong sides" but you couldn't hear me.
Ha ha! Thanks for helping!
