I'm not big on Final Fantasy, so I was curious why this game won Soundtrack of the Year. I listened to this song and said "Oh my God...I get it."
And that is one of the weaker songs to be fair. The whole soundtrack is amazing.

Yeah. There really is no beating Sephiroth’s remimagined theme. It literally has chapters and tells a story on its own. 11/10 masterpiece
Yeah, even me who is kinda lukewarm on FF7 Vanilla was SUPER impressed with FF7R, including the soundtrack.
I love how this boss theme starts at 100% and just goes up from there

4:11 - 4:57 is a perfect example. It's basically the same 8 measures, repeated four times (with slight variations), and each time kicking it up even further.
This game is a masterclass on building something up. They use various remixes of Let the Battles Begin during Chapter 1 and 2, and at the end of the latter they hit you full force with a faithful remake. The same goes for this theme. They tease you with it for a few chapters and then this fight happens. Jenova and Sephiroth's themes are the same. I love this game, and Rebirth as well. My favorite games of all time, and I can't wait for Part 3

Ah, 'Fight On!'/'Those Who Fight Further', FF7's boss battle music (from which "The Airburster" is a more-metal, somehow, version of it, and one of 3 or 4 variants in FF7R)
There are two other variants I know
Scorpion Sentinel and Motorball/Midgar Expressway Mix

I have been harshly critical of this game (don't get me wrong, I do like it) but I forget all of it every time I hear this tune. Absolutely worth it.
