Well I think it was more of a pressure + time sensitive + brain fart type of thing. But also, that was crazy that both of them missed
It’s absolutely wild that Damon is perfect through these question about absolutely outrageous details and his only miss is just a counting error. I guess that’s the secret to beating him, math? Dude is a literal monster! Congrats to you Alex!!!
I’ve said this before, but this was the season Damon became my favorite Schmoedown competitor. The dude’s automatic. I will never get sick of watching him dominate like this.
Eh, its just boring at this point. The questions are too obscure for normal fans to participate, and Damon has no personality. I mean, lots of respect for his extensive knowledge, but this is not entertaining.

Roxy's basically driving a Ferrari. Alex Damon was champion well before she managed him and he'll be a champion after she's done managing him.

Yeah, even though ANYTHING could happen I really think Damon is unbeatable in Star Wars. The boy just knows too damn much about it! lol.

I forgot all about Witwer lol. There was a time I wanted to see that match between him and Damon but I gave up on that a while ago since Witwer just seems too busy. Even if it happened though, I feel he would be too rusty to even TOUCH Damon at the level he is at now. That also applies to the questions in the Schmoedown being even harder and more precise than they used to be when Witwer competed like you said. So if they finally got a rematch, I still think Damon would win. At this point, I'll be SHOCKED if anyone ever beats Damon in Star Wars. Damon is definitely the best champion the Schmoedown has ever had cause no one has beaten him to take his belt, and I don't expect anybody to until I see otherwise.
@@bsbgirl85 ya last time he lost a star wars match, i think, was that 5 way with campea, ken, witwer, etc 3 or 4 years ago... Damon has won (last year) and come in final 3 of the dragoncon SW contest which is harder than this... and SW is his job, so its almost unfair...

Ace kind of got screwed by the questions. Decraniated as a 3 pointer? And the Solo resources question was badly written - it should have said what three "resources" are they after. By asking for "things" they legit open the door for anything mentioned in the text, including the word "resources," despite the clear punctuation indicating food, medicine and hyperfuel are the three resources in question.
Now, the judges may be correct in their ruling based on the spirit of the question and the grammar involved, but had it been worded more precisely, by asking for "resources" instead of "things" then Ace would have eliminated that as a potential answer and may have come up with what the judges were looking for. That's a six-point swing that's compounded by the harder-than-usual 3 pointer in round 5, making it a TKO.

Ace should've won that challenge or at least they should've thrown out the question. The question reads "What three THINGS do Crime Syndicates fight for?" The opening crawl says, "Crime Syndicates compete for resources - food, medicine, and hyperfuel" If the question switched things for resources and fight for compete it would've been a fairly incorrect answer.

lol The stuff with Ghai at the beginning gave me Blair Witch Project vibes, hope he doesn't end up standing face down in a corner. One of the many reasons Winston should be manager of the year is that you can genuinely see how much he cares about his team and competitors. You see the bond and relationship he has formed with them, he doesn't make it all about himself like some other managers do. He elevates the hell out of them, makes them better, and is like a proud papa when they win. So I agree it's not all about the points (Even though his faction kicked ass in matches all year) Winston is a hell of a manager and he should be and is the Manager of the Year. Great match. Until I see otherwise, Damon just seems unbeatable when it comes to Star Wars. The man's a damn Star Wars terminator. Despite that, Cabrera did great. He just got screwed in that round 3 question. So Damon is facing Dimalanta now. Wow, I so wonder how that will end lol. It was great to see Jenn back in the post match interviews, God I've missed that since they left the studio. I hope they are bringing that back. Well, since their posting the Spectacular like this I can't wait till they post the Teams Title Match, that's the match I've been looking forward to the most.

Bad ruling in round 3
This may anger some people but at this point I don't think the Star Wars division should continue in its current form. Damon is too dominant and at this point most people only like maybe half of the material they're covering. A true Star Wars league should cover all of the television series at least as well as the movies, if not the novels and comics, and games. They're only covering like half of Star Wars, and it isn't even the half most die-hard fans enjoy
Damon would still dominate as he covers all that on his channel. 😁

There's some demand for an MCU division and horror division. While I liked the tournament this year, a possible idea would be to keep the core three (singles, teams, IG) and then rotate the fourth division between multiple other things
@@devanshusinha8737 That would still make two out of the three special leagues Disney franchises which is an issue in its own right. Why not have a sci fi league, a comic book movie league, and a horror league?

All Roxy's talk about why would people always voted for Dagnino over her is because his manager character is golden and you never know what is coming next, we couldn't give a shit what he says to his players as long as his promos etc entertain which they never fail to do. This year's MOTY will surely be much closer with people like Shannon and Winston always coming up with new jabs.

I don't know about that Han Solo question they both missed, the argument could certainly be made that the correct answer is in fact 5. It's not clear whether the person Kylo sees in RoS is actually Han or just some kind of hallucination. He's not a force ghost and as far as we're aware there isn't any way for someone that's not force sensitive to manifest themselves after death. Like, it's not even a flashback or something, that would certainly qualify, but does it count if it's very possible a figment of his imagination? I don't know how I would count it, but I think it's vague enough that a challenge wouldn't have been unreasonable. Of course, they both gave the same answer so there would be nothing to gain for either of them and wouldn't have changed the outcome, so that's good, but imagine if Andres said 5 and Alex said 6 and he lost because of that and couldn't even challenge it.

I think the ruling on Ace's challenge was fair. If the crawl had the line: "The jawas sold Uncle Owen 2 droids - R2D2 and C3PO" and the question is "What 2 things did Uncle Owen buy from the jawas?", you can't answer "Droids and R2D2" and then blame the question.
I think if Ace had just answered "Resources" he would have had more grounds for a challenge. Because they were competing over 3 things and those 3 things were resources. But answering "resources, food and hyperfuel" shows that he knew what section of the crawl they were referring to, and that he knew the answer had to be a list of 3 separate things. So he either forgot medicine, or mis-interpreted the crawl, which is on him, not the question writers.
Just because a question isn't worded in exactly the way you want it to be worded doesn't mean it's a bad question.
Did Han Solo technically appear in Rise? It was a representation in his son's imagination. ha. I don't know if it could be a challenge.

i asked that a few years ago... regarding the walker names (ie. AT-AT). the films never mention it. They said, cause its such a specialized league, they allow and expect more research/study for it and have decided background trivia is valid
