Still on my way catching up with your videos. 😄 Would have a question with regards to the painting. Tim, you mentioned red was a cheapest color those days. In Scandinavia the red color was a special one which was cheap as well but had special abilities. Protecting the wood towards the elements and as well some kind of fire protection. Was this color only cheap or had it as well special abilities?

Question about Dusty: I’m currently doing a FJ80 camper build on a chassis with the 1hd-t engine. Do you have weight data for Dusty, overall or even from and rear axle weights?? I know from watching your walk through videos soon after purchase that you installed an intercooler, but am wondering if you also upgraded the turbo or did a tune for more power…. And how much? Did you keep the stock ring and pinion ratio?
My rig will be heavier, since your shell is mainly carbon fiber, but I’m looking for a basis of comparison to know much power I need add to the 1hd, or r&p ratio change.

It has the Gturbo Grunter turbo on it. We left it pretty low in terms of boost. We need to add a fan to the intercooler.
Stock R&P 3.73 ratio. Cruises at 65-70MPH.
