The lagoon is a very nice place to fish, or was. It does have a very sandy bottom, kinda like the surf. We use to go there for reds and flounder. Now if you don't have a kayak you get stuck fighting off pin fish and piggies perch. So I hade to go else where to get away from the bait thieves. Great video though.👍
Man, a half day of fishing never works for me... luckily for family time my 6 year old daughter loves fishing and has a great skill at catching some nice ones! Tight lines brother!

I have never actually put the kayak in there, and I’ve always wondered if it was worth kayaking. You got to love rat Reds such beautiful fish! But I have to ask what lead head is that anything that small always seems to bend out even on small specks?
It’s a cheap 1/8 oz thin wire shank. They don’t bend out because the UL rod and drag from the reel kick into action to prevent high stress on the line and hooks I use. This setup always keeps tension on the line just right.

The lagoon is full of pinfish. Some rather large ones too. If you can get around them there are some nice fish to be caught there.
