Let's face it, we all deal with color casts. This is what happens when ambient lights such a Warm Tungsten or Cool Sunlight affects the colors in your images..
So here is a really quick and easy to fix these color issues..

Another quick way: Sample the area with an eyedropper in an area with the greatest color cast. Create new layer. Fill with the color. Invert. Change blending mode to color. Change opacity to taste, usually about 5-10. This is useful especially when there's an overall cast, and you don't have a good sample to paint with.

Hi Peter... following this through... after changing opacity to taste (10%), then what do I do? I'm guessing that you'll add a layer mask and then brush in the new colour?
Hi Rich I am 100% HDR shooter you just made me a much better photog. Great fast easy way to fix HDR interior most annoying issue. thank you for doing all that you do for us..
Eddie Avenue I still urge you to start using lights. You will find your images will be better, sharper, colors more true and windows so much better. HDR can work well but I found I spent too much time in Photoshop trying to fix HDR issues it wasn't the way to go for me.

This is a fantastic tutorial - and oh so timely too! I shot a house yesterday and I had a couple of rooms which were just not right due to a bad color cast. (My fault totally) This tutorial salvaged everything. Thanks so much for this, Rich! I owe you your favorite beverage for this one! :-)

Well done. Again!
You can also create a new layer and set that layer to "Color." That way, if you realize that you made a huge mistake, you can just remove the layer. More so, you can also use the eraser tool, too. Great video though!
That's a terrific point - especially as I am one of those people who tend to make huge mistakes!

Do you use a mouse or a tablet when editing on your Mac ?
I use a mouse but have started incorporating a Wacom Intuos Pro Small into my workflow but for me it's hard to switch over.
I have a question, if you have you have two different photos of the same room and one photo came out with a color cast problem and the other photo came out correct, can use the good photo to fix the bad photo with this technique

Ty Leader I'm not clear. Are you changing your settings? The WB should be the same if the settings are the same.
Why not just ditch the problem photo and use the correct one? Sometimes you can push the flash a little more and the camera will switch it's color correction from ambient to flash. It's a very fine line.
I try to get each photo in 1 shot, perfectly balancing flash/ambient.
I'm saying if you are photographing the same room, but in a different position in the room, and both photos come out with a different color cast can I use the one photo to correct the color cast in the other photo, so both photos have the same color cast. Can I use this technique to do this?

What TY is asking in short term is... Can you "Wall Pull" lol. Perse' can you expose for the room naturally/ambient, window pull. Then just use your Window pull method for the walls.
I think he's saying can he use the same color balance for a different shot of the room. So if you know 1 photos is pretty good WB, can you take those #'s and plug into another angle for the same room?
I've thought about that. But I think the color balance is dependent on the direction you're facing.
What height do you set your tripod shooting interior?
My height varies from shot to shot but most are at just above my belly button and I am 5' 10"
djkevin314 I would say about 42" on average but again it changes composition to composition.
Depends on the furniture, room and height of the ceiling. For instance, in kitchens you typically want the tripod higher than other rooms.
On average, mine is about light switch height, but it does vary as others have said.
I am a real estate agent and beginner photog. May I ask why you didnt just take the pics withouth the lights?

use the hue/saturation, luminosity option in lightroom; sample the desires area and change to taste, but ps is more powerfull
