@@TheCleaner6969 decide no on those j hooks. At the back of the deck mine has not been moved in six years at least because that's how long the moor's I've been setting. Here's my point they were stuck. Little PB blaster couple tabs were a little tiny ball peen hammer to get to move counterclockwise and clockwise. I'm not little guy but I couldn't pull those j hooks. I took a round Jaw vice grips clamped around that j hook and it told that j-hook out pretty easily. I did have to take a two by two about 3 ft long push against the lower part of my vice grips but he just walked it right on out. Don't get me wrong I'm just adding a helpful note not telling you how to do it. Cutting the boards underneath there and going from Hyde low on the deck simply ingenious

One thing that is not shown is how to get the belt off the PTO clutch. I had to drop the deck on my LT1045 to change the transmission belt and it was a pain the get back on but I did it. How did you get the deck belt on and off the PTO clutch?
Possibly bent supports, bolts to tight or rusted. Also if you're not the original owner someone may have not the correct bolts. It's really hard to say without seeing it but that's where I'd start.
@@TheCleaner6969 thanks for the help. I ordered the front hangar used from eBay and I think it’s too short. I loosened it up so the top of one nut is flush with the end of the hangar and it freed up the deck to move.
@@TheCleaner6969 42 I believe has one rod arm that extends out from the right, but I do believe I may have been sent the wrong part. I got it used on eBay so the seller might have labeled it wrong.

Here is the video explaining that. Since that video I was told that front pulley does come off. th-cam.com/video/muoLq039yQw/w-d-xo.html
How about re-installing the deck ? How to get the freaking belt back on ?
Push on the idler pulley & turn the PTO pulley & feed the belt on.
What would cause the deck to be hard to lift with the handle?

@@GY6SCOOTERCHAT It could be. So many on ebay have no idea what they're selling & with all the revisions they did with this model who knows.
I wish i could find a replacement deck, or convert another deck to fit. Mine is toast, all rotted
Check facebook marketplace there was a lot of these on there a few years ago.
Is there a part number for that specific deck I have the same problem

I can't get those two hooks to come out
Try some power blaster & let it soak. The try & move the deck& if you have to use a small screwdriver & pull. They're probably froze.
He is wrong. The Ider pulley was no it deck. Let us all the down. And pull the hook out.
I'm not wrong. And please speak English. Wft is "The idler pulley was no it deck" anyway? The video is explained as simple as possible.
