Very interesting video thanks. I have a large lemon tree in the back yard and have been wondering what to do with all the lemons. I would like to ask, why do you have to have your hydrometer at 20 degrees? I understand that the calibration is done at 20 C but I have been using my hydrometer for years at up to 68 C and just used an online hydrometer temperature correction calculator. I find it very accurate. Just wondering your take on it. Thanks
I heard that drink before, basically it's Lemonade as it got drunk overnight!! XD Skeeter Pee sounds nasty piss TBH XD Although, it's just experiment why not just add lemon skins-peels rather whole or juice or at least used other lemon-flavoured herbs Lemongrass or Lemon Balm. (Lemon relative of the mint family) or just add sugar on the lemons and caramelized with abit water it so it frements faster abit. Just friendly active no biggie! That being said, nice job on the brews once again!! Sometimes nasty crap can change into something pretty just like Beauty and the Beast. I may tried it as I love lemons! Sparkle looks amazing too!
@@MossHomeandGarden You sure do bro! Lemon can go well with drinks even with ciders, beers or anything else if it's done right. As long you don't make it too bitter nor sharp. Also, how come you used hops too? It didn't have it in actual Skeeter Pee XD
"brew day 99" Yeah think ill just add lemon in secondary thats a bit too slow for me. Aside from temp I think the slow ferment was because your pH was low. Cool video though thanks.
I'm a classic slow brewer (wine background, where time is everything), so I don't rush anything really, I'll be honest though, I'm not clued up enough on pH and you have reminded me to research this more, so thanks! Glad you liked the film.

Hello, get this lemons used! I’m just used to taking the gravity at 20, it’s how I’ve always done it, just set in my ways I guess!
Great video! At 5:43 - is that a Staub Chistera braiser on the stove, or what brand is it?
Hi Björn, it’s not a Staub Chistera although it’s similar in what it does, just a lot less expensive, it’s made by Masterclass.
@@MossHomeandGarden Staub are pricy, aren't they?! Interesting with Masterclass, I'll have to check out that brand.
@@bjornekdahl721 It was just an Amazon purchase, nothing too expensive but it works well enough.
Maybe the lemon was the reason for slow fermentation ?
Very possibly….
cracking vid stu, i made some Alcoholic Lemonade last year, it turned out amazing , a lot better than the commercial Hooch and a lot stronger too lol
Yeah I’ll definitely make this again, I enjoyed it 🍻

Cheers Aaron, I’ve enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would actually!

@@aaronweyl2272 I decided to add a little extra bite to it, plus I had a surplus of hops. 🍻
@@MossHomeandGarden Wise choice sir!
