TRUE STORY. No bullshit. Back in 2016 in Canada we had 1 McDonald’s that did that on that touch screen menu to place the order. We tested it out with 4 reg Big Macs and 2 drinks the bill was 0.00$. The employee looked at us,gave us our bill and said have a nice day.. I think it was June sometime then July came and the glitch was gone. But we told everyone about it. No joke. Can say it’s bullshit if you’d like, but it’s true.
Once you complete your order, and you at the pay bit, press cancel then pay at till and your food gets made and get called even if you don’t pay at till

Are you adding the code before your selection or after? Does the total value of the meal come to £1.99 or is that just for one item?
Use the receipt and do this short survey and u can get a selection of foods with fries for 1.99
It's not like you think you can enter your own code like this instead of scaning barcode
