He can also be a director of films. This guy has a lot of potential, has TH-cam channel called POV or Peniel Official Vlog. Originally BTOB has 7 members. His name is Ilhoon. He was their main rapper, a producer, composer and lyricist. He left the group in 2020 but please don't hate him he just having a hard time of his life. He is also the same person that named the fandom MELODY, since BTOB is meant for born to beat the music and every beat has to have a melody. Anyway BTOB vocals has a sub unit name BTOB BLUE and you can check their performance in Immortal song were they made an appearance around 3 times as a unit and each of them has solo appearances, and in Sugarman once. All the members can play at least one instrument. BTOB was also trained as an Acapella group, almost debuted as a band. And later the company debuted them as a dance idol group, they also used to do acrobatics. BTOB don't just stick to one genre although ballad is their main that became their trademark as a group. Their music is so diverse so better check their albums for more. BTOB are also part time comedians. They are a bunch of multitalented individual bonded by fate. Cube close the deal for them to become one. ****Peniel forgot the line bc originally it's Ilhoon's and it's an old song, and it's also not a surprise bc even the main vocalist Eunkwang forgot his own solo song. And Peniel did say just like Eunkwang he also forgets the song verses esp right after they stop the promotion period LOL. It's just natural of BTOB to happen. No big deal at all, real fans knew. All members finished military except Peniel who is American. Sungjae went to enlist when he was 25 and at the pick of his and the group's carrier so they can be together for their 10th anniversary which was celebrated last year. It always warms my heart when people react to BTOB and truly like them 🥰 To answer some of your questions and add some info.. - The one you recognized (the actor/entertainer) is their maknae Sungjae (육성재)! - The cute one from far right is Peniel Shin - he's Korean-American, from Chicago 😊 - They debuted in 2012, in between 2nd and 3rd gen, and people consider them (and other groups from 2012) to be 3rd gen. - Yes, their fandom name is very beautiful and fitting - Melody 💙 - They can dance! Especially their main rapper and dancer Minhyuk (이민혁, far left) who's overall very athletic. Actually, when they debuted, their style was typical for kpop boygroups, including choreography. As they showed off their vocals more and started to become known as "healing group", dancing stopped being that important - but they still dance up until now! Even though it's not their main focus and they joke quite a lot about being too old for that 😉 - All of the members already have solo songs/albums! Some were also in musicals. And they can play many instruments - if they wanted to, they could become a band 😊 - BTOB as a whole is known for being crazy, loud, saying and doing what they want, and not caring at all about their "idol image" 😂 Their maknae Sungjae (Mr. Actor) even has a special nickname: 육잘또 (for 육성재 잘생긴 또라이). It's quite a surprise for new people, who might know them for singing beautiful ballads and for healing our souls with their voices - their personalities are complete opposite of that calm image haha - By the end of 2021 all the members completed their military service! 🎉 In 2020, when the last 2 members were still serving, they promoted as subunit BTOB 4U and competed in a show called "Kingdom: Legendary War" as one of the 6 idol groups. Two of them are already musical actor the recent (2022) works for Eunkwang (is the leader, the one in navy) was Judas in Jesus super star, and Changsub (v neck top) was in mata hari. I feel like there was a point of time in 3rd gen kpop, where Sungjae was everywhere. I've watched two dramas he's in Goblin (I actually never finished it now that I think about it lol) and Mystic Pop-up Bar which was I think his last project prior to his enlistment. It's so interesting because I feel like everything I've seen from him individually is so disconnected to what I see from him in BTOB, so maybe it's because he's good at acting since I always forget he's an idol when I watch him outside of the group.
I laugh when you describe him disconnected to what you see him w BTOB. And that reminded me of his latest drama The Golden Spoon. Did you watch it? Gosh he was way way way different in TGS. I could not see a BTOB's Sungjae in his character. He fits to be a villain character at some point. He is so so good in that drama tbh.

BTOB (stands for Born to Beat) is an 11 year old group, known as vocal kings so good in harmonies and adlibs, gives amazing live performances but are also funny guys and love entertaining their audience esp their fans (Melody). Originally a 7 member group, consisted of 4 power vocals and 3 rappers but don't be fooled coz all 7 can sing and rap and dance and do acrobats. Unfortunately, the main rapper had to leave the group in 2020 so they are only 6 now. One reason why the 6th guy made a mistake and forgot some words coz he was rapping the part of the member who's not with them anymore. The song is an older one and that rap part was not even his. But yes, it's nice that it's not edited out. Always sincere, they never were the ones to put on that image of perfection idols are known for. They always show how they were..the mistakes, the voice cracks and stage mistakes..coz they want to be true to themselves and the fans. They never bothered to look perfect..they want to show that they are just like everybody else.They do dance so well..they are the only group that puts choreo in their ballads and also raps in their ballads but sounds so good. The 1st and 4th guy are the composers and producers of this group. While the 3rd and 5th guys are known musical actors. You're right about the 2nd guy, he is an award winning actor, you might have known him on some kdrama series like Mystic Pop Up Bar, Goblin or The Golden Spoon. The 6th guy that you find cute is a Korean American, born and raised in Chicago. Individually, these guys can sing on their own..they each have their own colors..but as a group, they really are amazing and they blend so well. They have been together for a long time and promised to be the longest active group in the industry. They are not the usual kpop group..a cross between the end of the 2nd gen and start of the 3rd one, their discography is so wide and diverse..not sticking to the same style and not afraid to try something new. They have done dance, pop, rock, jazz, funk, ballad, they can do anything and it would always sound good. Their songs can't be categorized in any genre..in fact the genre is BTOB. I havent listened to much BtoB but came across the killing voice and it gave me goosebumps and I had to remind me to breathe! I loved their song! I also came across Wind And Wish in mcountdown while waiting for FML and wow I have fallen in love with the song aaah its so good!
I love your reaction. It's just so satisfying to have a new listener of BTOB. Hoping to get more attention towards them. Many people have been sleeping on them as they are a heavily vocalized group, someting that doesn't really come often in a kpop boygroup. But they do dance, and as you've heard, they dont specifically focus on one genre and that's make listening to them is so much entertaining. They also write and produce their own songs. Knowing their members' abilities, they sometimes produce high notes songs, like 'Higher', which members complained it being super high, but they nailed it anyway 😂 Overall, they have been in the industry for quite a while and still the same human being as they were 11 years ago. Sings ballad that ripped your heart, have healing voices, and yet a crack head in real life, the beagle idol, BTOB.

I came across BTOB when watched Kingdom... I really like Min-Hyuk, he was so involved in music making...There is a running joke that he looks like TXT soobin so much that even Soobin's mother could not tell who is who from pictures. Peniel was cute and funny. Eunkwang was straight up halarious; and extremely talented vocally. Changsub performed on Kingdom and of course had good vocals; but did not get to know his personality as much as he was not part of the interviews/hangouts. I recognized Sungjae from the Kdrama Goblin (I did not know he was in the group; I knew there were other members who were in the military when Kingdom was being filmed). I am not that familiar with the group since I only watched them through that one reality show; but I knew from what little I saw that they will DELIVER VOCALS

The reason why Peniel forgot the line was because it was Ilhoons line. An Ex Member who was a rapper. One of the best rappers in the industry. And yeah, SungJae is a huge actor in Kdramas. I think Changsub and Eunkwang also do acting but more theatrical than kdramas. I’ve never gotten to see those probably because it’s only in person thing and recording is prohibited but one I’ll go and travel to watch one
To note, 8 of the songs sang there were composed by the guy in the middle wearing shirt and tie (the one that went on his lower register in 1 of the song). He's so talented! And he do love old songs, like 90's 80's songs, which also influences the way he composed songs that somehow feel kinda nostalgic. I wanna see you react to ATEEZ. If you like full-bodied vocalizations, Jongho fits that perfectly. He's well-respected by industry seniors, and he and SKZ Seungmin have collab stage with Eunkwang from this group. They all participated in Kingdom, Legendary War, and their collab stage was, indeed, "Legendary." Easily the most incredible cross-company collaboration I've ever heard.
I recommend you 'The Feeling' , 'Imagine', and ' Our concert', my 3 favorite sidetracks along with Someday. Also 'Show & Prove' is great ! And they did amazing performances on the show Immortal Song too !

BTOB is known in Korea as a group that is funny(beagle dol), believe listen to music! In my opinion, BTOB's live performance is better than the sound source. Because sometimes chords are not recorded. For live performances, many fan chats like songs so direct cams are also good. There is a member whose voice sounds low sometimes, it seems that the mic volume was low(just my guess). Some of member are known for being loud enough to have their mic down to their stomach. It's as one of the commenter said. Peniel (who forgot a line) was singing/rapping a former member's portion. He's also korean american like you (chicago) Not to defend his memory lapse....but you're right, it's funny. He wasn't good at speaking korean when they started 2012. They're known in the south korean industry as a group that does not do lipsyncing when performing. They always sing and rap live.
BTOB debuted in 2012 and had 7 members, but now there are 6 members, vocal Eunkwang, Hyunsik, Changsub, Sungjae, rap is Minhyuk and Peniel. Hyunsik and Minhyuk wrote lyrics, composed, and directed each member's individual album. I recommend you to listen to it And the members are participating in writing the lyrics depending on the song

Peniel --- born 1993, from Chicago, rapper, aspired singer, into podcast (Get Real), a photographer (Penography w 2 exhibitions alr), lyricist, BTOB's English 'teacher'. He can also be a director of films. This guy has a lot of potential, has TH-cam channel called POV or Peniel Official Vlog.
Originally BTOB has 7 members. His name is Ilhoon. He was their main rapper, a producer, composer and lyricist. He left the group in 2020 but please don't hate him he just having a hard time of his life. He is also the same person that named the fandom MELODY, since BTOB is meant for born to beat the music and every beat has to have a melody. Anyway BTOB vocals has a sub unit name BTOB BLUE and you can check their performance in Immortal song were they made an appearance around 3 times as a unit and each of them has solo appearances, and in Sugarman once. All the members can play at least one instrument. BTOB was also trained as an Acapella group, almost debuted as a band. And later the company debuted them as a dance idol group, they also used to do acrobatics. BTOB don't just stick to one genre although ballad is their main that became their trademark as a group. Their music is so diverse so better check their albums for more. BTOB are also part time comedians. They are a bunch of multitalented individual bonded by fate. Cube close the deal for them to become one.
****Peniel forgot the line bc originally it's Ilhoon's and it's an old song, and it's also not a surprise bc even the main vocalist Eunkwang forgot his own solo song. And Peniel did say just like Eunkwang he also forgets the song verses esp right after they stop the promotion period LOL. It's just natural of BTOB to happen. No big deal at all, real fans knew.
All members finished military except Peniel who is American. Sungjae went to enlist when he was 25 and at the pick of his and the group's carrier so they can be together for their 10th anniversary which was celebrated last year.

Actually, when they debuted, their style was typical for kpop boygroups, including choreography. As they showed off their vocals more and started to become known as "healing group", dancing stopped being that important - but they still dance up until now! Even though it's not their main focus and they joke quite a lot about being too old for that 😉
- All of the members already have solo songs/albums! Some were also in musicals. And they can play many instruments - if they wanted to, they could become a band 😊
- BTOB as a whole is known for being crazy, loud, saying and doing what they want, and not caring at all about their "idol image" 😂

- Another fun fact - Hyunsik (임현식), the one with the short hair and in a tie (3rd from the right), is a son of folk singer 임지훈. Hyunsik is also known as father of BTOB's music, being one of the main producers and writers for the group.
- Since I've already mentioned almost all of the members' names: next to the cute Peniel is Changsub (이창섭) and the one in a dark sweater, next to actor Sungjae, is their leader Eunkwang (서은광) - he's also appointed as a member of Cube Entertainment's board of directors, the first artist in that agency to do so!

I feel like there was a point of time in 3rd gen kpop, where Sungjae was everywhere. I've watched two dramas he's in Goblin (I actually never finished it now that I think about it lol) and Mystic Pop-up Bar which was I think his last project prior to his enlistment. It's so interesting because I feel like everything I've seen from him individually is so disconnected to what I see from him in BTOB, so maybe it's because he's good at acting since I always forget he's an idol when I watch him outside of the group.

BTOB (stands for Born to Beat) is an 11 year old group, known as vocal kings so good in harmonies and adlibs, gives amazing live performances but are also funny guys and love entertaining their audience esp their fans (Melody). Originally a 7 member group, consisted of 4 power vocals and 3 rappers but don't be fooled coz all 7 can sing and rap and dance and do acrobats. Unfortunately, the main rapper had to leave the group in 2020 so they are only 6 now. One reason why the 6th guy made a mistake and forgot some words coz he was rapping the part of the member who's not with them anymore. The song is an older one and that rap part was not even his. But yes, it's nice that it's not edited out. Always sincere, they never were the ones to put on that image of perfection idols are known for. They always show how they were..the mistakes, the voice cracks and stage mistakes..coz they want to be true to themselves and the fans. They never bothered to look perfect..they want to show that they are just like everybody else.They do dance so well..they are the only group that puts choreo in their ballads and also raps in their ballads but sounds so good. The 1st and 4th guy are the composers and producers of this group. While the 3rd and 5th guys are known musical actors. You're right about the 2nd guy, he is an award winning actor, you might have known him on some kdrama series like Mystic Pop Up Bar, Goblin or The Golden Spoon. Individually, these guys can sing on their own..they each have their own colors..but as a group, they really are amazing and they blend so well. They have been together for a long time and promised to be the longest active group in the industry. They are not the usual kpop group..a cross between the end of the 2nd gen and start of the 3rd one, their discography is so wide and diverse..not sticking to the same style and not afraid to try something new. They have done dance, pop, rock, jazz, funk, ballad, they can do anything and it would always sound good. Their songs can't be categorized in any genre..in fact the genre is BTOB. Known for their healing songs that give comfort and hope, songs that are often about ordinary things that anyone can relate to..known for their great vocals but also have great personalities..have always been sincere and true as you can see with their songs. I love your reaction. It's just so satisfying to have a new listener of BTOB. Hoping to get more attention towards them. Many people have been sleeping on them as they are a heavily vocalized group, someting that doesn't really come often in a kpop boygroup.
But they do dance, and as you've heard, they dont specifically focus on one genre and that's make listening to them is so much entertaining.
They also write and produce their own songs. Knowing their members' abilities, they sometimes produce high notes songs, like 'Higher', which members complained it being super high, but they nailed it anyway 😂
Overall, they have been in the industry for quite a while and still the same human being as they were 11 years ago. Sings ballad that ripped your heart, have healing voices, and yet a crack head in real life, the beagle idol, BTOB.

I really like Min-Hyuk, he was so involved in music making...There is a running joke that he looks like TXT soobin so much that even Soobin's mother could not tell who is who from pictures.
Peniel was cute and funny.
Eunkwang was straight up halarious; and extremely talented vocally.
Changsub performed on Kingdom and of course had good vocals; but did not get to know his personality as much as he was not part of the interviews/hangouts.
I recognized Sungjae from the Kdrama Goblin (I did not know he was in the group; I knew there were other members who were in the military when Kingdom was being filmed).

The reason why Peniel forgot the line was because it was Ilhoons line. An Ex Member who was a rapper. One of the best rappers in the industry. And yeah, SungJae is a huge actor in Kdramas. I think Changsub and Eunkwang also do acting but more theatrical than kdramas. I’ve never gotten to see those probably because it’s only in person thing and recording is prohibited but one I’ll go and travel to watch one
To note, 8 of the songs sang there were composed by the guy in the middle wearing shirt and tie (the one that went on his lower register in 1 of the song). He's so talented! And he do love old songs, like 90's 80's songs, which also influences the way he composed songs that somehow feel kinda nostalgic. The one song that you mentioned felt like an old song, it actually truly matches with the message they want to share. It's about reminiscing their past with their fans, that they're back from the military, and thanked fans for waiting for them. BTOB indeed has their own genre, and it's BTOB genre.

He's well-respected by industry seniors, and he and SKZ Seungmin have collab stage with Eunkwang from this group. They all participated in Kingdom, Legendary War, and their collab stage was, indeed, "Legendary." Easily the most incredible cross-company collaboration I've ever heard.

BTOB is known in Korea as a group that is funny(beagle dol), believe listen to music! In my opinion, BTOB's live performance is better than the sound source. Because sometimes chords are not recorded. For live performances, many fan chats like songs so direct cams are also good.
There is a member whose voice sounds low sometimes, it seems that the mic volume was low(just my guess). Some of member are known for being loud enough to have their mic down to their stomach.

It's as one of the commenter said. Peniel (who forgot a line) was singing/rapping a former member's portion. He's also korean american like you (chicago) Not to defend his memory lapse....but you're right, it's funny. He wasn't good at speaking korean when they started 2012. They're known in the south korean industry as a group that does not do lipsyncing when performing. They always sing and rap live.
BTOB debuted in 2012 and had 7 members, but now there are 6 members, vocal Eunkwang, Hyunsik, Changsub, Sungjae, rap is Minhyuk and Peniel. Hyunsik and Minhyuk wrote lyrics, composed, and directed each member's individual album. I recommend you to listen to it And the members are participating in writing the lyrics depending on the song
