- The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is located on the northern bank of the Moskva River, a few hundred metres southwest of the Kremlin. With an overall height of 103 metres it is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world.
The current church is the second to stand on this site. The original church, built during the 19th century, took more than 40 years to build, and was the scene of the 1882 world premiere of the 1812 Overture composed by Tchaikovsky. It was destroyed in 1931 on the order of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin.

E sono molto contento di essermi iscritto al tuo canale. Sono molto interessato ai monumenti, prima di tutto, della tua patria, la grande Italia. Questi sono bellissimi palazzi, musei, templi, parchi e complessi di città maestose. Tutto questo splendore visivo è catturato da te in modo professionale, talentuoso e unico. Il valore estetico dei tuoi video non può essere sottovalutato. E ora sono felice di guardare le tue riprese della Cattedrale di Cristo Salvatore nella mia città natale, Mosca. Scegli gli angoli più interessanti. E la tua videocamera è calma: il filmato è statico, ma interessante e informativo. La statica è abbastanza comprensibile: tieni la telecamera sul petto e semplicemente non puoi permetterti di riprendere le dinamiche dal pavimento alla cupola del tempio e così via. Sfortunatamente, anche oggi le "forze dell'ordine" conservatrici e incolte non consentono di fare foto o video nella cattedrale principale della Russia ortodossa. Tu ed io comprendiamo che questo non è il problema più grande che dobbiamo sopportare tutti. Il tuo film è fantastico. Grazie mille. Hi, this is normal . In catholic churches you're not expected to remove your shoes and nobody does.

Mr. Praveen Kumar, If the streets & outside area are free from animal dungs & dirty substances then our shoes are supposed to be clean. So Christians in the West allowed it. But now a days in South East Asia they remove shoes in church because the surroundings are dirty. This is nothing to do with respect to God. Thanks to Putin who saved Christianity from hard goulags of Stalin & Lenin.
