2:11 Internet and Web are actually 2 different things. The Internet is the global infrastructure that supports the Web and any other online system. Internet also refers to the set of all online systems themselves. World Wide Web, WWW, or Web is the interlinked hypertext network across the whole wide world over HTTP or HTTPS protocols. It DOESN’T refers to the Deep Web, Dark Web, or any other system on Internet, such as email, IM, IRC, etc
I love how the sp0nsor is a highly glorified ChatGPT wrapper yet could be extremely useful. The whole business idea is "The user does not need to know that." Hmm maybe I should make an AI SaaS too!
Crawling is the hard part. Indexing is harder becuase you have to worry about the disk space for your indexes. Serving is the easiest thing to do because of React and Node.JS backends. If you handle a bajillion pages with very specific variations, plus worry about spam results, then you need optimization for your crawling and indexing engine. Indexing engine is gonna worry about storing and giving the server the food for the custormer. Prepped like a 3-star Michelin restaraunt (Yes, the best restaraunts have 3 stars, instead of 5, like hotels). So, the restaraunt analogy fits here.
You used an infant to represent the crawling step, guess that works. I always mentally represent a crawler with a bug, like a millipede. Which to me makes much more sense.
No one has every possible byte of data. Google doesn't even have all of the surface web, much less deep web. So many times, I get stuck unable to find something that's 1 click from a result. If they just crawled 1 more link out, it'd be so much better. But, a gogleplex probably underestimates how much that would be.
03:45 I'm pretty sure my search results are already full of garbage and spam. Google has become about as useful as fucking Lycos and Fireball search used to be. Actually, maybe worse...

Google knows everything because they know everything a person knows because they collect every possible byte of data.

@ yeah it was just a silly joke because google harvests a lot of data, I over exaggerated stuff. Guess it wasn’t that obvious which is understandable
The name crawler makes me associate Google with the predator
