@@InAllThings24 i find it even more a flex of vanguards percussion when they can do multiple takes of the show and the audio and video still line up perfectly, cause they are able to execute it that cleanly the exact same way, many different times
The lack of front in the comments is astounding 3 years later so I’m gonna say something. This is one of if not the best fronts to ever grace dci imo and absolute deserves a lot of the credit for the success of the percussion section in 2019.
There you guys are! Well, I'm protesting!! I NEED MORE VIDEOS FROM YOU GUYS!! You're the 1st band I've EVER listened to, and really HEARD what was being produced, to my continuous loving!! Keep doing what you're doing, I LOVE IT!! #MOREVIDEOSPLEASE!!
Drum corps can do that sometimes. Band can do that sometimes also but, top level drum corps like this that is what all of us have strived for over the years. Cheers
I was wondering this too, I think that there might have been really loud dutting in battery and whoever edited the video wanted to make it quieter if that makes sense. It is strange though
I would assume it's just background sound, could be anything, and as to why they didn't just take a different take and clip it in is beyond me. Oh, and Hi Colin :), thanks for linking me this video!
Colin is correct-ish. Everything is Wonderful, but @ 7:02 , there's No Way the Marimbas are THAT Dirty. Sounds like the Audio guy mistakenly hit the "1982 Montreal Olympic Stadium Severe Echo" button during mixdown
little bit late to this but rennick teaches with a sound quality first, technique second approach. leads to some really funny looking hands but super clean lines
@@skittles.n.snaresit’s really funny to me that a lot of marching perc instructors just haven’t even given this approach a shot. Like it’s right in front of you lol
First time I've smiled in a while
That sounds like depression
U good?
Kinda sad ngl
*bossman you good?*
You need a hug?
So clean it killed the coronavirus
This... was 2019
That was a top notch performance. It will take a lot more to stop C19.
@@con1019 You do realize the Coronavirus existed in 2019.. People just didn't know about it
Lol no. This was made in the summer of 2019. The virus outbroke in late 2019
Con 101 it’s a joke. Let it go. It’s not meant to mean anything about the physical literal world.
The snare line is so clean it almost hurts
9:26-9:38 has to be one of the cleanest snare features I’ve heard in a long time...and with a hint of 2012 SCV to boot...😏👍🏾
8:57 That piano solo is the shittttt
Tenors in scv always have the coolest visuals, change my mind
I can't
I kept surviving off the PASIC recording until this was released! Thanks!
Been waiting forever
favorite part is when red shirt guy teleports at 10:04
Keeping the tradition alive I see
nzane1216 yes, yes i am
pretty sure he's the guy holding the camera in the next shot

@@InAllThings24 ah yes the editing makes each run the exact same tempo and it plays the instruments for them
Next level tuning on the snares. Crisp!!
Rennick has my favorite snare tuning ever. It’s unreal
Really digging the wider variety of shots this year
Wow! That is beautiful writing and execution 🤯
this show gave me a very profound message about finding community in individuality and im so glad i have an excuse to revisit it.
One of my personal favorite vanguard shows. Thanks for this amazing work of art.
nice shirt color choice this year thank u vanguard
The 9 dislikes are the bd snare line.
Damn bass drummers 12:12
Nice ........... one more time please.....
favorite show of 2019
Ahh, no viruses here! Just superior.
The tuning of those snares is gonna put me into a literal coma it’s like the perfect balance of straight chop and punchiness if that makes any sense.

Excellent playing! Camera work is good too.

WHO THE ***** thumbs down DRUM CORPS AT THIS LEVEL!!!!???? I wanna knoW!
Yessss been waiting for this! 🔥🔥🔥
I forgot how hard this was. Wow. Time to go learn it
How come at 7:01 the marimbas sound pretty clean, and than just a few seconds later, they feel like they are only coming through the keyboard mics?

probably the audio engineer's choice to make the whole pit a bit louder since that was a keyboard feature in the show
