Just here to say my wife and I jumped into Pokémon tcg about a month or so ago now and got immediately into competitive play. Your content is the sole reason I was able to learn so much so fast about the competitive side to the game! All while enjoying the personality you show in videos is also awesome! Thanks for the amazing content! Hopefully one day I will get to play you in standard or glc!
No trying to take anything away from TrickyGym he's a great host, but the Pokémon TCG isn't that hard to get into. I'd say it has one of the easiest meta games of all current TCG's. Not that that's a bad thing.
@@MA-ck4wuplaying the game itself is easy, but competitive can only be tricky if you want to find a deck that is OP that very little players would bring to a tournament but I takes a lot to break The game. I’ve seen homemade or new TCG’s be broken by people including myself and many others who will find loopholes in cards and use it to seek and destroy but for such a big game as the PTCG.

By you? strangers on the internet? But yes, you're right, I was mainly referring to the rules of the game itself, + the new mechanics of Pokémon V etc.which are easy to pick up.
this is great. i originally started playing tcg when fairies came out in XY, and i mained those until zacian V came out, and i just could combat Z one shotting all of my fairies. so i switched to psychics, but i forsaw psychics becoming weak to darkness, and i switched to eternatus until single strike urshifu came out, and have been playing psychics again ever since. but seeing how no one runs urshifu anymore, i might play eternatus again.
What cards would you recommend everyone have for the new standard rotation? I just got back into the game, I stopped before covid, and am trying to get back in. Great timing, hahaha.
I personally think all variants of Eternatus that rely on a Crobat draw engine are just dead weight in the current meta. Most decks are running 2-4 Serena AND a Boss AND a Path to the Peak, all to counter Mew VMAX, and these cards also handily counter this deck - you just have to rely on G.Weezing and pray
Since im early id like to ask this. Wouldnt alcremie vmax,lunala prism star and the gardevoir (DARK EXPLORERS) work well together? Idk if the gardevoir is too old to play.
That would be a fun combo, but you'd need to play in the Expanded format. Currently, only Alcremie VMAX is Standard legal, and that will be rotating once Scarlet and Violet come out.
