We are very familiar with this place because we have been there many times. In Beverly Hills, Florida, there are old and new areas. You only drove through the old area but it is not a hood like you described it many times. The place is quiet and peaceful and safe, too! We encourage you to drive through the Twisted Oaks Golf Course and you will see how beautiful that new development is. If you are looking for a house, you need to visit that area. The High Ridge that you drove through earlier is also another good and beautiful neighborhood. That development, as a matter of fact, is almost sold out. The last house that's being sold is already in the high 300s. The demand for renters in that area already outpaced the available housing, which is hard to find in a hood. Thank you for sharing your video.
I grew up here and its probably the safest and cheapest place ive ever lived, its not bad at all, it has the same amount of problem kids as any small town, one side is very old and run down, the newer side is retired folks that love golf, its surrounded by golf courses, and youre 30 minutes from ocala so you have access to bigger town easily, across the street is black diamond, pine hills, citrus hills, etc with homes over a million

My old house on Tyler sold for 200k 2 years ago. Hardly hood value. Nice home in 77, we sold in 99. Always was nice and quiet. Originally was built as a retirement community that marketed their homes towards retired autoworkers and steelworkers in Michigan. Also had a sales office in New York. They had a small motel near the main entrance and would offer lodging for their sales junkets from up north. New homes were built in phases. The homes near Lecanto Hwy, between Rose and Beverly Blvd were the first phase, so they were built in the late 60s and early 70's. No wonder they seem rough. The farther you get away from that area, the newer the homes. It was a different time back then. Most of the buyers experienced war and the depression, and were mostly concerned about saftey and comfort in their golden years.

I also got to witness my neighbors beat the crap out each other physically and cops called multiple times. if the houses were still 85k, i would still recommend this place, but they going for 135-160 now, and there is no real economy here.
There is a beach, though not anything to brag about, but it is always open and its one 12 mile road to to get to the deadend beach, endless places to just drive through trails and jump in crystal clear water and touch manatees, its better to look at the whole county as one city, you can get from one side to the other in 30 minutes, beverly hills is boring but fun is 30 minutes away in any direction, and for any shroom lovers you have about 100 fields you can go find them and have a wild time

Plus I have lived here for ten years now and there is a few bad streets,. yes, but I live in an awesome neighborhood where everybody looks out for each other and we have get togethers and keep our houses and yards clean. Why would you want to come to our town and say it's a really bad place to live when you don't live here to know the truth? The news sensationalizes bad news. My aunt lives there in a condo and I have wanted to know what it looks like there. Not sure that's a hood though. I just thought of something. She called it "the country" because she and grandpa were kind of out in what I thought were the jungles of Florida as a kid. The American flag with red and blue symbolizes police, firefighters, and first responders.

As someone who grew up in Philadelphia and spent 37 years there, this is the suburbs of Florida at worst. I was just in Beverly Hills Fl a couple days ago, and drove through the same route as you.
