    I like the idea of committing to the perks you get, unless you get a "none", then you can pick something that has synergy

      I think for the sake of people who watch these videos to learn which perks they want to use, they are going to be limited on what they have to use. So I think maybe the opposite of what you are proposing? I think most of the time the perks tofu gets are useless anyways. So if he had a none perk slot I think it would be more beneficial for the learners to see him switching out perks rather than adding more in.

    I watched all the way through and I think the fun of it is the utter randomness of all your perks and add ons and seeing how you adjust and adapt your killing style based off the generation, especially against good survivors

    Personally, I don't like the idea of a random killer build having a non-random perk. Maybe that's just me. I like seeing it randomized, as it's more entertaining and interesting that way.

      We haven't removed it. We just made a toggle for it so that you can hide it.
      Also, we're planning to come up with better win conditions that will be actually fun...it's proving difficult though so it will take a while. For now, i'll agree that the only fun environment for one to try and complete a win condition is in a custom match with friends where everyone is using a random build.

    I love the random aspect of these videos so I personally think it’s much more entertaining to have you just commit to the build that the website generates for you. It’s still super fun and enjoyable to watch even when the random perks don’t go great together, because it’s interesting to see how the game goes when you truly have no control over the build. That’s just my opinion, love all your content Tofu!!!

    To answer the question, if you care mostly about the random aspect of the series then you don't want to change any of the randomly generated perks or addons just to make it usable because that's the point of a random run is to rely purely on your skill as a player (sometimes) to attempt to win a game with or without the use of good synergetic addons. Now I haven't seen much of this series so I gotta ask if the generator you use has a player's choice option added to the list of options you can end up with. If so then that can be used to give more control over the selections when it pops up. If not you can either choose your own perk when presented with the "no perk" option or you can choose your own perk when you are given a duplicate from the previous game (ex. You get Iron Grasp two games in a row, change Iron grasp to a perk of your choice). The answer really depends on how "random" you expect your videos to be.

    I think instead of switching it out for any perk, it would be more interesting if you swapped it out for a killer's perk.
    For example: If you get doctor, you swap out one perk for monitor and abuse.

      And to answer your question: It's up to you. Like you are really good at trying to find synergy amongst random perks and I think that's good to use as an educational opportunity. HOWEVER, if you have a poop build and swap one thing (or your none slot) to a meta perk, it'll likely become a showcase for that perk. If you do decide to do that, I'd like to see you slot in a non-meta perk to try and glue the build together rather than showcase what's already strong.
      I like the full random as that's the truth of gambling, right? And controlling 25% of the perks takes a lot of oomph out of the randomness. THAT SAID, I think removing the "none" and "any" options is a solid idea. But again, your content, you do what you think is best for you.

    For your question, I think being able to switch to literally anything takes away a lot of the randomness. However, I think you could so something where you are allowed to switch a perk to any of the teachables for the killer you are playing. That would let you have a few more options while still sticking to the random theme.

    15:13 through to 16:00 (where I paused) I think I would enjoy hearing you say lively "[insert perk name] VALUE BABY!" and if you've got synergy, then all the more chance to have that come up. Though it is a 'random' perk roulette, so it's a little less random, so maybe restrict it to 1 perk per video, or none should you think it's survivable.
    Also! Love the content, I watch 90% of everything, just sometimes I don't watch the gameplay reviews because IDK, just not as spirited while talking in some of them. I come for the learning and the personality, not just the game and watching you give survivors the el decko with wraith (who I just said on the spot, no reason)

    Stick with random but treat the "none" perk slot as though it were an "any perk" slot. Sticking with a random build is fun but just outright losing a perk is boring and doesn't make things more interesting.

    "The spirit mindgame of 'do nothing and get rewarded'"
    Ugh, this is going to be a hard video to watch, since even Tofu doesn't seem to understand that the survivor pathed like an idiot. Sure, standing still "forced" him to path like that, but in reality, he could have made it to the shack window, punishing the Spirit for standing still, thus extending the chase. If the Spirit WAS phasing, he still would have made it to the window in time unless the Spirit predicts that he's going to go to shack, which would have been you outplaying them.
    This is partly why I'm so bad at Spirit and why people think she's braindead: because survivors NEVER call your bluff, even the good ones. Every is stuck in this mentality of "oh, she's standing still. She might be phasing. Guess I can't run away, despite me being in a very good position to". I always predict that survivors would do the smart thing in that situation, and they never do, and instead I get dumbasses who vault into me after I've started phasing.
    It's my firm belief that people hate spirit just because she makes you use your brain, and no DBD player seems to be able to do that.

I almost wonder if when you get a no perk perk slot you should keep it to no perk and trade out a perk that it gives you, but that would definitely be interesting! Hope you have a good day! :D

    Yes, Tofu, you should be allowed to switch one perk out for synergy. I like seeing alternatives to the usual meta builds. especially when I'm in the mood to spice things up. For example, there was a Furtive Chase build for Myers that Otz used which was honestly a blast for me to use, even though I typically don't play Myers. Outside the occasional jump scare game, I find him pretty boring and easily defeated.
    The build was Furtive Chase(Of Course), Nemesis, Dead Man's Switch, and Dark Devotion(Or whatever the plague perk is that hands your terror radius off to the obsession when you smack them). The add-ons were Judith's Journal and the green Mirror Shard.

    I think a system kinda like Yahtzee would be lots of fun, so you randomize 4 perks and then you can pick 1 to keep and re-roll the next 3 and then 2 and you’re stuck with the last 1. And your offering and add-ons can be the same way or you can just keep the ones you get at first.

    Definitely like that idea! It does sound cool! Because it doesn’t really seem as cool when you have a build that is just useless (that’s what no perks are for). I might do that idea too! Like the randomised perk wheel is great but perks need help sometimes.

    To your question, at first I was gonna be like "nah, it's more fun when the build is completely random". But your reasoning does make a lot of sense, there's not much point in getting certain perks if you're not gonna be able to at least do _something_ with them. So maybe switching out up to one perk would be fine? Or maybe disable the option of generating the "None" perk, which might increase the likelyhood of "Any" showing up?

    To answer the question, i'll say this: some sort of compromise is nice. From having seen countless shitty loadouts get generated as i tested for bugs (and so did Alpha for that matter), it feels bad sometimes. Like you'll head into a match and have no chance bcs the randomization gods hate you. Hell, this doesn't feel as punishing now but imagine with MMR on (if it's actually gonna work lmao)
    So, as a compromise: what my friends and I have done is a second chance rule. You get your first randomization and have the option to randomize again if you don't like the first. We are pairing that with "if you randomize a second time, you HAVE to use the second set" but that may be worse than the first...which has happened. I'd say, for the purpose of keeping the gameplay part fun for you, use this rule but scrap the part about HAVING to use the second randomization if you do choose to ignore the first. So you'd basically get 2 randomizations and choose whichever you like more.
    Not much of a compromise but i don't want to suggest something that just defies the purpose of the randomizer which is why i disagree with the option to swap out a perk for another "Any" perk that would create synergy. I guess, i'd only agree with that if you pick the perk slot that you'll swap out (if you do end up going forward with a swap) before you actually randomize so that there is some risk of you possibly swapping out the best perk you get.

    I like the idea of the guarenteed switch out perk, to make some kind of synergy work. Especially when you get a "none" or "any" perk in the randomizer.

    Great video! Regarding your question, I think you should try to commit to the randomness of the perkwheel but, when you have for example "serrated jaws" (addon) and "sloppy butcher" (perk) with no synergy then you can make a change but not as you would like but random again. So when you get dumb shit you roll again. Keep it random! :D

    I like the idea of replacing a perk slot, but only if you'd get like 4 dog perks that have 0 synergy. Just to keep the game interesting :)
    Also, I LOVED the Beginner Trapper video, I super hope you make one for all of the killers. It's good content to watch amd great for newer players joining our community!

    I like the perk swap idea, plenty of people do the straight up random builds so at minimum you'll be doing something different.

    To the synergy Question: that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, some perks do require some synergy to work so if you’re down to do it the go ahead
    Or you can count the “None” perk slot as an “Any” if you want to

    Whatever you think would be more fun tofu. What I enjoy the most about it is just how random it is and seeing you make it work. I would prefer you just keep the perks given but I also think you should do what’s more fun for you

    Just started watching this particular series of yours, but I definitely think you should be able to swap a perk out or find some method to make it a little more enjoyable for you.. especially if you’re pulling killers/perks that you don’t like lol.. would certainly help you stay interested in keeping these particular videos coming, I’d think!

    Having the "None" be the wild card slot sounds good to me. It would also let you build synergy.
    Now the "bankrupt" idea: if you roll NOED, you get to choose the rest of the perks, but all of them need to be specific to the end game, such as blood warden

    About the questiom for switching out the perk, I think that's a fun idea! However, only if you switch up the perks you add, not just adding something like barbeque or whispers (just examples) every game.

    The perk swap is a very good idea, I like it, I feel like Perks Roulette has a lot of games which is basically perkless killer games.

    Keep stuff random, but allow yourself to re-randomize a *single* perk per video (so one across two builds). And that's not "pick whatever perk you want", the replacement perk still has to be randomized.

    I think if you're going to do any kind of perk-swapping after rolling a random, you have to pre-choose a slot that can be changed before the roll. That way you can't just cheese out of swapping a None slot like it's an Any slot.

    I think changing should be fine if you require something else. Like undying needs a hex, so if you don’t have a hex, you can get one or switch it out. The none should also prob be filled in with something whether random or chosen :)

    personal question. the fake trapping of the pallet is basically the same as standing still in the pallet isnt it? youre showing an animation of one thing while doing something else to get an easy and cheap hit on a survivor who lost a 50/50 on what youre really doing. its just spirits works before the pallet goes down

    Hey Tofu, when you want tu pick up a trap and you end up kicking a pallet you can spam space to pick up the trap to avoid trapping yourself

    I like the idea of having the chance to switch out one perk, so long as the new perk is one that is synergistic with another, instead of you just grabbing the best perk for the killer

    I like seeing interesting synergies but i don't know if taking away from the randomness is good. The "none" perks are pretty boring though so maybe you could treat them as "any" perks?

    Not sure if being able to swap in the random series is something that I would like haha. You could just make a new one for just that idea, of using the entity given and killers own perks.

    Changing a perk would be really cool! Plus if you got an empty perk space (Like you did on trapper) you could swap that one to try and get a 4th perk? Just a thought!

    I just realized, from the second game where the David killed himself on the basement hook, the hook ui is busted. It’s meant to operate as a hook indicator (letting you know how many people you physically put on a hook) but it just keeps track of hook states, not actual hook counts.
