    From the first note, you know these two guys are great guitarist. The second thing is that they are comfortable playing with each other. I like the guitar that Stout is playing. It has a rich vibrant sound that makes you sit up and take notice. Some of my best musical experiences have come from Carter Guitar. Thank you.

    Stout is a fluent speaker of the musical language of '30s jazz. I like how he doesn't try to do a modern take on the music, which is what most guitarists would do when improvising a solo for music of that era. Real authentic licks like that can't be faked, they can only be learned through deep study of the music from that time period.

    Are these nylon guitars? I heard the early Gypsy guitars were.

      These are steel strings silver plated gypsy jazz strings
      But some of the very early Selmers were nylon but those ones had a bridge like a classical guitar no tailpiece
