You can call it towns rourkela 102 km2 and sbp is roughly 303 in theory not in practical most places are empty or villages and there is no need of comparison here both have their cultural identity in their own ways

lol dont make these comparison sambalpur city area is just 1/4th of Rourkela city area. i dont belongs to these cities.. but i lived there in sbp & rkl also... after bbsr, rkl is 2nd biggest city area wise... sumbalpur dont stand a chance in road wise , infrastructure wise, area wise, development wise or income wise.. actually rourkela sector colony areas is bigger than sambalpur total city area.. i have visited most of the University in odisha but.. Rourkela NIT college area is the biggest in odisha.. RKL NIT is area wise india's 3rd largest University/ college
Brother here we are talking about municipality areas. Kindly Google what is the area of both municipalities before posting a biased view. Go get some idea about Educational institutions. At this point of time Rourkela is more beautiful and organised than Sambalpur. Because Rourkela is a planned city. I have been in almost every major cities in odisha. Every city has its own pros and cons. We should acknowledge and appreciate that.

Though you have tried to make the video very informative, still it has some lapses. The saree that is made in Sambalpur is called Sambalpuri saree. The Handloom saree shown here in this video is not Sambalpuri saree.
And one more thing, Hanuman Vatika is not a park as you have told here, it is a temple complex or cluster comprising of many temples.

@STOCK TODAY see i neither belong to rourkela fan club or sambalpur fan club, i am from uttar pradesh and i am a neutral person,but i have stayed both in rourkela and Sambalpur for over 15 years, and i have experienced this myself, the shopkeepers in sambalpur are always in angry mood and always rude, dukaandaar aise behave karte hain jaise ki kisi ne unse koi udhaar liya ho,bhale hi tum paise dekar cheez kharidte ho , phone pay aur patytm ka scanner lagaye hue jain,lekin online payment karne jao to dukaandaar bolte hain hame cash do, are yaar agar cash hi chahiye toh scanner kyun chipkaya hua hai, and one thing, i have never faced such things in rourkela,wahan ke dukaandaar bahut hi gentle hain, aur pyaar se baat karte hain, aur safai ke mamle jabardasti sambalpur ko saaf suthra mat bolo yaar, aur haan rkl 10-20 saal pehle manta hun bahut gandgi tha,lekin ab rkl puri tarah badal gaya hai
I'm from Sonepur. We go to Sambalpur every other day but rarely I go to Rourkela. I agree with your views on both city About cleaniness. Even Sonepur is not much clean but the town is better than Sambalpur in terms of cleaniness, may be coz it's small and not much crowded. The thing is Sambalpur is an ancient city,more like a grown up village. The people are used to live this way while Rourkela is like a planned city. Govt is helping with it's development especially due the hockey wave and people are taking it seriously. But I can't say whether people are rude or not coz you can find both rude and gentle people everywhere. Have you ever been here, Sonepur. What are your views?

Jadi maila kam karbar lagi chesta karte,plastic,pan sabu nai thukte baile sapha bil Jahan karba k ni padta. Idna katkia te hinista karidela maila jaga,nuko road nai bslikiri. Local lukamankar bil kichhu responsibility achhe ki nai.

The shopkeepers are pretty egoistic, and dont even listen to you..if you ask too much question about their products they will mock you or behave very rudely. Thats why i always go to Non native shopkeepers. About cleanliness, Sambalpur Muncipality is run by local gundas and i am not even making this up. It is the most corrupt muncipality in Odisha. Apart from that people in Mahandi coast dont prefer to use toilets rather go to the river itself. They use it for washing clothes, bathing and even doing the natures call. People here also consume paan very frequently and spit it on anywhere they like. Even Young generations are leaving the city for this. Hope one day we will really become a smart city like bhubaneswar. 😢
