You did, with a subtle tweak to the riff to circumvent any copyright stings aha. You can always buy a Charvel So Cal if you want a shred machine with a pickguard.
I love the look of this one...CAR with matching REVERSED headstock and black hardware, but I prefer the layout/design of the DK22. I also think it's a shame that they can't do a Graphtech Tusq nut and baked neck with luminlays on these like the Charvels.

That is one Beautiful guitar, I'm buying me a guitar in a couple weeks and I've been looking at a lot of les paul's, SG's, schecter's, with les pauls typically being my favorite looking, but for some reason after watching this video and then a few others on this particuar Jackson, I've totally lost my desire for a les paul, lol, but for no joke, so now I plan on getting an SG and the Jackson San Dimas. I don't know why but i think this guitar would perfect for me and along with the SG this one more so has to be the best looking guitar I've ever seen, thanks for your video dude because Id probably missed out on knowing this thing even excited otherwise.
Just picked one up for $600 used at a local guitar store. Someone dropped it on the volume knob and it cracked slightly so they put a piece of a pickguard where the knobs would go on a strat. I honestly like how that looks more than without it. Came with gold emgs too and a $200 charvel case, wicked deal I’d be stupid to pass up on
I like these a lot. Still something about a Les Paul that I gravitate towards. I really think you end up with what you start on. My first was an old Lotus LP copy silverburst.

Because it is made in China, the quality is inferior than the usa? After playing the guitar, what is the tuning stability?

I must admit, I was pretty interested in this. The first time I've found a great neck heel - and neck-thru even better! - on a full, proper Strat body, with all the rounded edges. All other superstrats go angular for some dumb reason...except for Charvel So Cal & San Dimas types...but they have the full Fender style block bolt-on heel. Ugh! Frustrating! So when I saw this, needless to say, I got extremely interested. The only thing to stop it being the perfect superstrat I've been dreaming of is that ridonkulous upside down headstock! But...if everything else plays and sounds and feels good..and the price is right...I could live with it. It's freaken stupid looking in my book! But aesthetics are subjective. Anyway, I'll put up with it so long as it doesn't get in the way of the rest. But..it's all moot anyway cos I just bought a DK24 (Pink!). Merry Shred-mas, Yo! 🤟😆🤘
I don’t know Gus G’s playing well. I take it that he doesn’t dive bomb much? He said that he used to have Fenders with the Floyd Rose, but most of his guitars that I’ve seen have tune-o-matics, or this one has a more traditional two-point bridge.
I have the gus g Jackson signature made in China model ...unfortunately I have a problem with the tremolo system...when I use it I'm out of tune. ...so I must block it
I couldn't tell you. I don't own the guitar and I never weigh them. Pointless exercise since no guitar weighs the same, even if they're identical in every way.

Hey, I bought one! Love the way it plays but I can't keep it in tune for nothin! Nut juice couldn't even help. Just a simple bend will knock it out. WTH?
@@CameronCooper brand new and plenty stretched. It came setup with new strings but after several days of frustration, I swapped them out for my normal brand - same issue. Granted, im used to Floyd's having used them for over 20 years, but I've never had such tuning issues with any other guitar as with this one.

I love the idea of the neck though strat. The color just doesnt do it for me. If it was neck through and black with a standard white standard pickguard id be sold
Does it stay in tune for you? I have the custom shop version and it sucks so much. Cannot stay in tune. I barely move the whammy and the whole thing goes out of tune. Plus it arrived with QC issues. I still kept the guitar because GUS G is my guitar hero .. out of respect i kept it.

If only he had gone for the pointy reverse hs in black, like the classic 80s charvels. Love the marriage of the strat body and pointy hs.
But there are plenty of 80s Charvels out there. Plus it would look like Jack Butler's guitar

I have the gus g Jackson signature made in China model ...unfortunately I have a problem with the tremolo system...when I use it I'm out of tune. ...so I must block it

I don't know why any guitar has pickup surrounds around the pickups anymore. The look of a humbucker on its own just looks so much better.
The manufacturers possibly don't think so though.

Amazing playing Cameron. I reaally like the guitar but the plastic pickup surrounds look a little cheap. It would look much better without.

Having big hands I wouldn't feel comfortable having the volume control that close when anchoring.
But you can work around it surely :)

I had no tuning issues then again I don't use the whammy bar typically

@@nc1969 I used it a little but only subtly which is what the gotoh is designed to withstand anyway. The trick is to keep the nut lubricated
