A recent criminal complaint in Arizona centers around the book "Beyond Magenta," which was assigned for a school reading. The book, a nonfiction work detailing the experiences of transgender teenagers, has been deemed by some parents as inappropriate due to its sexual content. This has led to efforts to have the book removed from the school's curriculum, citing concerns that it promotes gender fluidity and is too explicit for students. Similar challenges to the book have occurred in other states.

The best way for parents to control what their kids are exposed to is to keep them at home. This thing where you send your kids outside the home to be taught by professionals just to complain that they’re doing it wrong is baffling. I can’t wrap my mind around the entitlement. Also, regardless of politics, beliefs, etc, everyone whose taxes are funding that police department should be pissed that their money is being wasted on this “investigation.” That law should be updated to stipulate that violations be reported to and investigated by a school board or other education authority (if that kind of caveat is even possible/legal 👀).
And what, exactly, are these parents teaching their kids by these actions? Just how ignorant do they believe their children are about sex? Do they allow them online? And I agree with others, society has become far too litigious. Do parents really think keeping their children 'innocent' is doing them a favor? And what happens to children who learn about the sordidness and dirtiness in life later? How are the able to deal with it with something other than shock? Or do they just hide their heads in the sand, don't look and just do everything to live their clean, nice, pretty lives leaving victims of sexual depravity to suffer? At best they are raising naive, short-sighted, vulnerable adults, at worst, uncaring, selfish, heartless, fools.
