- Katie Colbert, a naturalist at the Sunol-Ohlone Regional Wilderness, shares with us how she tracked dozens of Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes and what she learned about their movements and behaviors.
I saw one while mountain biking in Santa Rosa, CA today. Scared the crap out of me. It was a baby, only had 3 stubs of rattle.
I want to have her job.
Not the ONLY rattlesnake in Northern California. There is also the Great Basin, Crotalus oreganus lutosus.
This lady is a frickin bad ass!
we had so many on our ranch but i never heard or saw rattles, they looked exactly like these
What a cool video! Stay safe,,
Educate don't eradicate! the Pacific Rattler is pretty laid back (non aggressive) for the most part they just want to be left alone, but like any wild animal they wont hesitate to attack if they feel they are endangered!
In British Columbia Rattle Snakes are a protected species ,, It is the same species as this video the northern Pacific Rattle Snake and id known to be shy and non aggressive
this video is literally saving rattlesnake lives
