- This video explores the history, powers, and abilities of the Marvel Comics character "Dark Beast." From his working under Mr. Sinister during the Earth-295 "Age of Apocalypse," cruel experimentation on mutants to create multiple enhanced supervillains, kidnapping the Earth-616 Beast and infiltrating the X-Men, to his self-experimentation leading to his own death; Let's take a look at this evil doppelganger of the mainstream X-Men's Hank McCoy. All including a short, canon biography and my own opinionated "Sage rating."

He always disturbed me. Beast became my favorite x-man after seeing the animated series in the 90s and becoming a comic book fan from there, so from that I grew to admire Beasts character, so smart but also so compassionate and having a heart out for helping others with his brilliant mind. So when I learned there was an alternate version of him that was cruel, twisted, murderous and maybe even more insidious then someone like sabertooth in the main marvel timeline, it disturbed me there could exist a version of Hank like this.

I actually like that because Dark Beast is an interesting concept I mean him being a more twisted version of Beast

Comic book characters are always brought back eventually just look at Superman I mean Dark Beast was always an interesting concept anyway since he is the alternate version of Beast in Age Of Apocalypse where he serves under Apocalypse as one of his geneticist

out of all the characters reintroduced in AoA. Dark Beast was a favorite. It , to me, showcased how events in like makes someone a "hero" or "villain". It showed how a genius go from "mild mannered" (616) to coin a phrase "twisted and evil" Granted in hind sight, could have done more with him. But the concept was rehashed when Banner and Hulk was separated with the help of Dr. Doom, and Banner went quite mad.

I always liked Alter Beast. Thought he was a cool concept. Dr.Mcoy with all his intelligence going mad and becoming a gene splicer...sick. I think it could’ve been so much better he actually kidnapped himself and took the spot to hide from Mr.Sinister. Classic 😎another fine job as always sir. I’m late as hell I know 😂

I'm currently reading X-men Unlimited #10, Which focuses on Beast and Dark Beast. I already knew about Dark Beast from reading Road to Onslaught Vol 2; so I already knew he was a villain. Now, in Vol 3, I'm seeing just that his horrific upbringing has made him even more of a monster than being a mutant ever did. So far, I've seen this sociopathic manic massacre a nursing home, cause a viral outbreak in the middle of a dining crowd, and blow up a church. Dark Beast is a terrorist.

Dark beast is a pointless character. He’s not as strong or smart as normal beast and nowhere near the genetics genius sinister is. So what’s the point of him.
