These are player mats for the team mode, where you can play in two-player teams.

I will just play with my old flimsy and mostly functiona version of COB.
I'm glad that this is an easy pass for me on crowd funding.
I hope there will be a version with this art direction / board layout, but without all the (for me) unnecessary fluff.

That's too big. Every box I have this big hurts in playtime.
I’m finding the same thing. The Everdell big box is too much to sort through or take with me anywhere.
For these big box all in games, I’ve been thinking i might only keep my favorite modules in the box and bag up every thing else and keep it else where.
@@snowren24 This one is far simpler to break out and play than Anachrony or Everdell
I agree, I actually sold my Everdell big box and kept my original. I realized it would only hurt how often it gets played. That extra effort of digging through hundreds of components and pulling out a dozen trays is just enough to get another game pulled out instead.
Agree , I have Suburbia Collector Edition . And It’s siting on the shelf of shame because it is too big too set it up.
That is a fat box.
Those inserts look _very_ flimsy.
